According to local media, Hurricane needs to raise about $400 million to develop the project and aims to start producing oil from the field in 2019.

There's always a stumbling point :-(

The SNP are rather boring liberals in truth with a nationalist twist. All they care about is the photo opportunities and sticking it to London.

The nationalisers are the Labour Party in opposition but not in office. Anyway they seem to have collapsed in Scotland.

Now this is not the end. It is not even the beginning of the end. But it is, perhaps, the end of the beginning.

Davidblack,

I seem to remember Norman Lamont talking on tv during the last referendum and saying the the Shetlands might want to stay with the UK so Scotland shouldn't assume it's all their oil.

Does Hurricane pay for Scottish independence?

If it does then Nicola Sturgeon will soon be on the case.

That will be PR on steroids!

must admit I am nonplussed by the shareprice ,id say that the PR has started ,the BBc story being an example of this ,,the glass is very full but ironically im wishing for stasis till 2017/18 ISA allowance.

just remember the IPO price and those that invested then will be expecting /wanting /demanding a healthy premium on this £1.

upwego,

Yes, I have a stake that will ride out to the conclusion of GLA. I have been invested for some time now.
The case is getting better and better. No reason to get off just yet.

If Dr T is not too concerned about the DST then neither am I.
They have obviously spent a long time analysing what they have before announcing results. Bottom line is we are 99% certain of a multi Billion barrel oil field and value will out in time. Once CPR is published we can extrabolate the data/formulae used across the now whole field. Someone mentioned £1 by Easter and this is defo on the cards IMO.

Alistair Stobie has said (February) that he expected the company to tap the market for a small amount of equity issue in H2 2017, even if a farmout and debt are used. The aim, he said, is to keep dilution minimised and hopefully, on the back of good results from Halifax and an encouraging CPR, to keep the share price high.

Today, Malcy is talking up a farmout combined with some debt and although he mentions equity he seems to me to be talking down an equity raise. We know Dr. Trice is, and has always been, keen to retain as much ownership as possible so perhaps Malcy is picking up on those vibes in whatever exchanges he's had with the good doctor.

Should be 80-90p range. It's been stuck in the 40-50p area for yonks, even before we knew about Halifax! Not much logic at the moment. Drives ya crazy!😡€584;😫㈶8;😤😤😤💤
