Must google nearest hospital to land end. Give me a minute.

I'm sure if you lived near Lands End you'd have the same issue and last time I looked it wasn't in Scotland.

Yep, but if you are pregnant and about to give birth you'll relish the 100 mile trip to Inverness during the winter on the only access road, and one of the worst A roads in the country.
Nicola is only interested in the central belt and all those votes.

Fiona, move to England then if you're not happy. I'm sure if you ever need to visit A&E there you'll relish the increase in waiting times.

Aye, and no sign of a turnaround with any element of Scotgov - everything they're involved in is a nightmare and yet they seem untouchable. Running a shipyard now too - just embarrassing.Noisy neighbours indeed.

One trip pony that one I am afraid. Andrew Neil had her well and truly flapping when he brought up the state of the health service in Scotland, the massive drug issues they have there, etc. She only wants to talk about one thing.

O/T as it's quiet and the share price is getting me down and I feel like a rant. And it relates to oil in a round about way.

The cost of a UN climate change conference in Glasgow could be "several hundred million pounds", police say.

Yet our local hospital can't afford an MRI scanner, and we have a round trip of 200 miles for a scan. Burning fuel. If it was so sodding stupid it would be laughable.

Shows Nicola Sturgeon in her true colours with her climate emergency. More interested in world opinion than her own electorate. Just another bloody politician

TG I think any volume selling by our major holders resulting in an RNS would not be on my wish list and would not be easily justified.

Regarding Petrotal not being good example -they are re developing a field that was originally developed with vertical wells and had water issues, hence the new horizontals.

In the new wells they use a Tendeka valve to slow water onset--but it will come so if holder there I would watch closely.

I think one of main reasons why people sell is that they have capital tied up in a share whose share performance has been very poor to say the least. They see opportunities elsewhere and move their money. You cannot say that is a poor decision. We can argue about a lot of things until we are blue in the face but when push comes to shove its ALL about the share price and that frankly is all that matters.

Cheers bocase, I missed the second fall while I was at the gym, so I will have to sit it out now. I was reading about Rockrose yesterday evening. Just goes to show that oilers do go up occasionally.

I cannot stop wondering about who our incessant seller is and where we would be if the seller wasn't around.

OT bocase, are you still in ECO?

Lovewins: Yes they are the sort of reasons I was alluding to but it is the triggering of stop losses and margin calls that can create the persistent falls and then the doomsayers move in and create uncertainty in the minds of nervous holders.

A longer term perspective is often required and there are many on here with that perspective fortunately.

As is so often the case bocase, I completely agree with you. I know a few people who have to periodically sell stocks to settle tax bills; funds as we know sometimes sell up completely or a proportion of a company to pay dividends or to make up for poor performers elsewhere etc. This can influence wider sentiment, can trigger stop losses and all the rest, creating a bit of a storm. Anyway, thats quite enough chatter from me today. Have a good day all.

Apart from our frustration, trying to determine what is driving a share price is fascinating but we can only speculate.

One thing to bear in mind though is that with relatively small companies like HUR one persistent seller can drive prices down and down but that does not mean that there is anything wrong within the company or that the shares are correctly priced.

Remember there is only one reason to buy shares and that is to make money but holders have many reasons for selling, even when they would not want to.

Well, if it were to happen, I think 50p would represent a steal for the buyers, but even 70-75p would be cheap IMO. While perhaps many PI's would now bite a hand off for 50p a share, I honestly do not know if the decision makers would take that - but then I never expected to see anywhere close to the current SP, so not for the first time, in the famous words of a famous waiter 'I know naaathing' :)

I've got plenty informed people who have..It's a sitting duck, if all is to plan.A bid now.. could take till March .. when they would be in the driving seat to complete.i think a opportunist bid could succeed at 50 pence.
