Levan1, I finished closing my position this morning hence my post. If you care to check I've not thought everything is rosy in the garden since WD. I took the time over the XMAS break to consider this more fully and came to the decision to fully exit rather than lesson my position.HUR was my largest holding and was over 50% of my portfolio as I really did buy into the story here.As my old mucker PYAD stated on many occasion never fall in love with a stock. Perhaps I had here and should have at least loosened the load months ago.It is a stock I will continue to follow closely and yes one day I may kick myself. If the news flow becomes more positive then I may be back at some point. One thing to note is that the submersible pumps will likely mask the water issue initially (I won't bore you with technicals).Just consider that hydrostatic pressure should favour oil over perched water especially if the reservoir is well connected. So why is water cut increasing?

I have so many hopes that HUR will turn good but I've just realised that I love this stock too much... I'm blinded! If it is heading in completely the opposite direction to other Oiler's in a big upswing then there is definitely something wrong... I'm out! Good luck everyone!

It seems many of those who are no longer invested in Hur continue to monitor the B.B. very closely and attempt to wind up holders or deter new investors. All I see is sore uncertain losers hoping they have made the right decision. Perhaps your lack of faith in Hur will result in you kicking yourselves. Time will tell.

The proof of the pudding - Kerogen (have/will be) selling.

What can we expect in 2020 to bolster confidence?

bocase, until the pumps and CMD are out of the way I won't consider coming back.Until then I don't see any upside, just potential downside

Analysts at Berenberg reiterated their 'buy' recommendation and 100p target price on shares of oil and gas explorer Hurricane Energy despite the disappointing test results for its Warwick West well.

We each make our own decisions and of course I respect yours but if you are looking where to put your money now, maybe invest in a pair of shin pads as you might end up kicking yourself.

The operator have pulled FID on GWA, the 2020 work plan is now as minimal as the OGA would likely allow on all the acreage. Whirlwind given up to conserve capital despite being heavily featured at the last CMD.Ask yourself why HUR and Spirit are now in capital conservation mode. All's not well IMHO, an industry friend of mine believes they maybe obfuscating water disposal and that the figures would then clearly show rate dependence suggesting it may not be perched. If there are large vertical fractures which has been intimated at this could be breakthrough from the aquifer 400m below. The well that is producing water is a little deeper than the one that isn't.Either way shareholders have been given minimal data so a complete picture cannot be established. My view is there is a material chance that Lancaster will be abandoned due to watering out which has happened at other FB fields that have been developed then failed early. This is not an exact science, I don't pretend to be an expert but I do know risk when I see it which in my view has materially increased in the past 12 months.

I now believe the risks far outweigh potential reward.

Warwick looks like a write off, I cannot see HUR/Spirit doing anything in the next 3 years plus.

The last Lincoln well was very disappointing regarding the flow rate suggesting the acreage is going to be hit and miss.

....Warwick certainly looks iffy, questions remain about Warwick West....BUT..... don't follow your view on the last Lincoln well, which,

..."recorded a maximum stable flowrate of 9,800 stock tank barrels of oil per day ("stb/d") with the use of electrical submersible pumps ("ESPs"). The well flowed at an average rate of 4,682 stb/d under natural conditions.....

....Dr Robert Trice, Chief Executive of Hurricane, commented:

"We are delighted with the results of the Lincoln Crestal well. We have confirmed the presence of light oil which can be produced at commercial rates."

'The last Lincoln well was very disappointing regarding the flow rate suggesting the acreage is going to be hit and miss. Nothing materials likely to happen here in the next 3 years.'

Lincoln flowed at 4.8k natural and 9.8k assisted before cleaning up which is analagous with the initial results from the Lancaster wells which have subsequently been flowed @ 16.5k, your bar must be set very high because most E&P companies would give their first born for those flow rates. I'm going to assume you're referring to Warwick.

I am very happy to be invested here with the distinct possibility of the middle east blowing up, it wont be pretty. UK Oil and gold is the place to be.

No confidence in the prospects. Too hitty missy I suspect. In the good ol days a 4% rise in poo, would lead to a parallel rise in Hurr s share price Not happening...sadly.

Why are we in the red when every other oiler big and small are gaining on the oil price rise?

Cheers TGG......often the simple view is the true course to follow.Think we may have to wait until March and the CMD when it is very likely they will put out updates re Feild performance ( 9 months production which I hope will allow for at least 6 months of stable production?) Meanwhile, I believe the share price will slowly recover, no allowance for no black swan events, towards 40pAll IMHO,
