Seems obvious what he is doing. Powell intimated yesterday that the Fed may not cut further and Trump wants a weak dollar so he is having a little childish tantrum and forcing the dollar lower with threats of a world recession but upping the anti in the China trade war. Buffoon!

ZZ, on the Centrica sale of it's 69% share of Spirit Energy I'm pretty sure I read that will not be until the end of 2020 by which time the final drill of the 6 planned drills with Spirit will have been completed (based on the planned schedule of 3 in 2019 and 3 in 2020).

Edit, just double checked, the wording is actually 'by the end of 2020'...

Greyingsurfer - I can relate to what you say but I would respectfully disagree for following reasons:

We all said CMD was very positive, especially with Lancaster

The market does not believe the oprimism from the CMD day - I don't think it is just the 5% K stake onto the market that has forced the price below CMD day.

The offload is a KPI that can confirm to the market the support of the optimism and statements at CMD

I am not saying publish it every 20-35 days, It needs to be published now at this early stage to support the optimism for the EPS and FB generally and that it won't dry up.

Some of us have worked out that the offload does support the CMD optimism - just make it public at least until the production beds down.


Carcosa - LOL. Don't waste precious time writing 1,000 word essay knocking other contributors just because you disagree with them.

Try and do something constructive please.

All that some of us are trying to do is to be positive and point out the key news flows over the next few weeks which can turn round the share price.

Since we started the discussion this morning on positive news flows comping our way by mid August, the share price went up 1p when all others including PMO fell 6% on the day. .

Thats all we are trying to do - be positive but also justifying reasons why we can be.
