I have had plenty of experience with "poor execution" of these placings to my cost. I am sure I am not alone. I don't believe these guys are as clumsy or naïve as they don't mind being seen as because they always come out of it to their own benefit and the mud left on their faces is easily washed away with a glass or two of Bollinger. We grin and bear it and take the pickings they leave behind...this is the markets...these are the rules of the game. Happy to be patient from here as there is a bottom now and plenty to be had by the rest of us.

Sheesh! A big buyer and a big seller and the shares are going to someone who sees plenty of upside from here. Can't be bad.

If it is CA selling, I for one will be glad. There have been several times in the past when they've destroyed the momentum of HUR price rises and I think they have plenty of responsibility for the the big placing and rights being done at such a low level. Without their clumsy selling and a lousy FD, it is my personal belief that Hurricane could have got funded up at 60p or more, giving far less dilution. This might be a minority view but I used to advise oil companies on such raises and HUR's last year was just awful. If I had been involved in that, I would have hung my head in shame at such a shambles.

Looks to me as though CA are unloading another tranche with today's price being set at 43.1. It's gradually being taken. But that's just idle speculation. If it's right, we can expect a step upwards when that tranche is done.

Edit: Ooh, a million at 42.96. Now what's that? Got it! It's the sell that matches all the buys from earlier. I now suspect that the CA tranches are 1 million each on rising prices - for today at least! So we need to see 1 million taken at 43.1 before we can go higher.

Oh, this is a fun way to pass a wet morning!

@ Gary, you know that is not a correct statement.Without CA and RB it is possible HUR would. Lt exist.He is a fund manager and probably meds to rebalance his portfolio especially given he has an awful lot of warrants to convert.Given how long you have followed HUR I am more than a tad surprised you see RB as a trader. Other than that, I hope you are keeping well.

Headline of article in Evening Standard suggests BP to go on spending spree due to surge in oil price and profits. Text of article didn't quite back that up, and its only Eveni g Standard, but more bid speculation in the sector would be welcomed!

Trader RB of CA keeping the share price from its true value by selling just like he did the last time, just what you expect from a trader and hopeful those who are picking up those shares are investors.He has a lot of shares so this over hang will take time to clear but once it does the share price will fly.
