telbap - in my experience the big US players are often ready to play at 6am local time - I knew one US broker who was in the office by 4.30 every morning!

Intriguing trading today. Plenty thinking that it's run up too far too fast and cashing in at least a portion of their shares. However, someone is still gently soaking up the sells so I think there are ready buyers who are playing a good game. If at some point they decide to clear out the cheap stock in the market, we'll probably have a little spike in the price.

Hardly surprising that there's selling on Monday morning after an exceptional week. I was even tempted to trade a few out myself. Had a cup of coffee though and the feeling went away!

Weekend Ramblings if a Hur investor .
Well massive volumes this week churning away , wonder if based on anything but nearer to FOIL, just find it strange unless it’s a single entity , the 3% at 1.9 billion is 57,000,000 uncertain if weeks volumes but some lofty trades above and beyond PIs doing a 2018/9 isa transfer .

Seems although our new appointment didn’t ignite a share price which Think has been getting nearer to lift if neither has it went south .

Akou Mizou seems to be going swimmingly, would like more news of uk Operations ie PBLJ and other associated vessels .

Re previous statement of volumes , unless it’s intentionally been held back until IIs can comfortably get in without too much waiting time .
Hoping now for £1.00 this year to top slice 100,000 .
Always said that patience would be a big determining factor in HUR .
My SIPP holding can wait till the big boys turn up .

I would be very surprised if HUR received any offers prior to proving that there aren't any issues with the EPS and that oil can be brought to the surface in the volumes expected.

The multi-nationals must be slightly risk averse otherwise they would have jumped in before HUR raised the funds to go it alone. They know that waiting will cost them a lot extra but obviously see that as the preferred option.

However, if all goes to plan, then I will be very surprised if Dr Trice doesn't accept a realistic bid prior to the end of 2019.

Hi Mirabeau, I held GKP for quite a while but tbh it was just too risky (ISIS didn't help matters...). Although they have huge reserves and there is the potential for a big jump in shareprice (and for GENL) you can't trust the authorities to pay for the oil and you never know if or when Turkey will attack the Kurds.

HUR in comparison is a haven of tranquility, they have huge reserves, they just need to prove that they can get the oil out of the ground. I'm sure they will. I hold a chunk here just in case there is a sudden take-over, however I have larger holdings in SDX where they are producing at a low cost and have no debt. I prefer SDX because I trust the management and they have an aggressive (and paid for) well drilling programme taking place. When SDX price hits 90p or £1 hopefully in the next three months I will switch more funds into HUR and await the fireworks.

Apologies for an O/T question -

Does anyone hold or is considering buying shares in GKP? It does look like it's back on the road to making a full recovery. Yes, some maybe concerned about the politics of the KRG-ICG relationship but I believe both parties have almost resigned themselves to an uneasy partnership.
