Highlander - I'm tempted to say something nasty but think doing so just drags the value of these boards down. However I would say I've been posting on here quite a while although not very frequently when I don't see that there is much to say. Just do some homework and check a posters history before making silly comments. :0(

I prefer reading a balanced board rather just one sided upside. I would be very disappointed if nicebut stopped posting, I don't see that his posts have been deramping they seem to me to have put a practical realistic view on what is likely to happen to the share price. If we are honest he has called it extremely well so far. Having said that my personal view now on the share price is that we will dragging along the bottom with maybe some natural leakage of investors as they get bored until we get an updated CPR towards the end of the year. Of course there is always the possibility of a farm in coming out of the blue (which would be nice) but I now think the chances of that happening are slim. I only see that happening once we have first oil. Long term with 1st oil it will hopefully come good. All in my opinion and no advise intended. ;0)

Malcy is interested in O&G stocks that are going places. Why cover the AIM dogs/pie in the sky stocks? There's hundreds of them & it would be a waste of time to cover the loosers. So he's enthusiastic about those he thinks are worth following. Simples.

HUR - I'm going to hang on in here; IF/when it comes together, 30p will look like a gift....

Ps last week I was in Amsterdam and by chance met a well testing chap whom was involved in the DSTs performed by HUR , his advice was buy buy buy

Hopeful holder.I too was a holder here all on the way up. Thankfully I saw the light before it was too late. With pathetic long term holders like Gary on the books, I'm quite relieved I'm not in the same company as him. Wish u luck.

Hopeful holderIts ashame you feel like that but cheer up it could be worst you could still be with the daytraders/shorters/gamblers on the other board .This board is usually quite but those from the DT/S/G keep trying to bring this board to their level even if l wish they just stay where they belong.Its like being in the saloon bar and every so often those in the public bar try and sneak in but they are easily spotted.

Nicebut is a full time daytrader and a retired professional airline pilot.

His posts ( on stocks he holds ) always reflect his current trading position.

Short = always negative
long = extremely positive

A shame reality and no recognition of the last few months has been acknowledged Gary. This was a good board at the start but you have ruined your own thread through blind optimism and no reality check. A real shame.FwiwYes I'm a long term holder but currently quite disappointed in the share price performance recently. (Yes it was peaky but I didn't realise until too late. )

On higher oil prices going forward I think Saudi Arabia floating part of Aramco sends a big message on their ageing big fields. The Saudi's are clearly looking to sucker funds into what are now declining assets.

So why are they declining now? The reason is simple, all oil fields in production decline over time but some of the big fields in the Middle East have looked "Immortal" mainly because of the rapid improvements in recoverability over the last thirty years which has meant recoverability moving up from 20% towards 50%. It is this that has hidden the underlying declines in those reservoirs.

The fact the Saudi's are selling out now indicates they now are coming to the same conclusion.

Oh and don't bet all your hopes on US fracking to solve the issue, at rates where sub contractors don't go bust they need $50 minimum for the average field to make it work.

Hurricane's first oil will come at an interesting time!
