They just have put in place a simple mechanism to be able to buy back cheap stock during the closed period, no doubt based on a discount NAV basis.

Also it ensures their shares are never cheap as if often the case with investment funds.

I heard they are talking about a fund raise for production. Anyone have an ideas what that will include and if there's likely to be a placing?

Hi TGG
Given materiality of CA HUR holding to the fund they've put in place a plan to trade around a result, they did the same for Lancaster ;

TGG

But if HUR spikes on a really good Halifax result, then CA may spike a bit too and Winterflood can sell some CA treasury shares into that spike....possibly.

But it does point to them being a very good shareholder from a compliance perspective.

Also Richard Bernstein the fund manager is a very smart cookie.

rhomboid, surely that affects trading in shares in the fund? Nothing to do with their folio?

Rayrac, you don't really understand engineering do you. ngms wasn't being pessimistic but was highlighting how stupid it is to try and guesstimate what is happening based on a timeline.

Engineering is about solving problems that are presented to you as you try to carry out an action. Doing something once in time X doesn't mean it will take you X the next time you do it. Especially in something as complex and unpredictable as drilling a well.

50p!? Is that all?! After all the sufferin yesterday? Still, got to be expected? Some guys are here having broken open their money boxes and are grateful for small offerings.

Stressed, that's what they are. Ice cream guys, melt with just a bit of heat. 😰😱

Depends if either of these rumours posted on here were true:
1) The well had to be respudded
2) The well had well control issues

I'm not for one minute saying they are but what I'm saying is that judging by time elapsed if often not a very good method of determining outcomes.
