So let me get this right macrus. You're claiming to be the CFO of HUR and you've come on to ADVFN to clarify comments you made at a conference yesterday.

If there were trouble at drill, the share price wouldn't move as it does. Ie, from 1.75 to 1.00! Ie, someone is getting hold of someone's leg.

macrus, so the CFO doesn't know what he's talking about. That's very reassuring!

I refer you to my comment yesterday. Nothing new was said so nothjng needs to be RNS'ed. The rig ready to move comment was, and is, incorrect.

The shares are moving down because there are a gretaer number of sellers than buyers. Bonuses need to be locked in and no one will take risk in a high beta stock.

We've been trading at this 40'ish range for some three months now, mainly whilst the Lincoln drill progresses. In view of Stobie's naive comment yesterday, basically stating that the Lincoln drill is complete, an RNS providing details of the success (or not) of the drill is now overdue. I hope that the esteemed Dr T is giving Stobie a right dressing down!

Agreed Control1 - what an idiot making that comment, but without any follow through - it just leads to speculation as to how successful the drill was. Perhaps the company will be prompted to now issue an RNS in the next few days, or perhaps it is planning to do so anyway?

Wish management would keep their mouths shut about live sites. People have obviously applied the same interpretation this morning...

Mirabeau, good luck with those.

I am happy though. HUR is still one of two large holdings (% wise) for me and a third one that I had 30% of my ISA in (AVS, bought from HUR proceeds in September) more than doubled in a millisecond last month as it got bid for. Days like those eh? I won't mention my (gladly small) punt in CHL recently (OK I mentioned it). Can't win them all!

Whilst we await news from Lincoln, bear in mind we have not yet been fully updated on the 2 Lancaster wells. This may come soon, or may await Halifax result, or even the CPR, but a few thoughts on size.
Latest co estimate is 300MB+ recoverable.

Looking back to the figures in the CPR, and AS' Proactive comments that CPR volumes below IC depth were possibly too low by half, a quick scribbling gives me c. 500MB based on the 1646 depth reported in the pilot. But this is the RECOVERABLE figure, using a % in the CPR that AS indicated was likely too low. My notes from then are not to hand, but that could be a further upgrade of 25%, 30%, or more. Now it is possible that the co post drill 300MB figure invalidates this, but given their reputation for understatement, I doubt it.
But you can see why Malcy was getting so excited; it is possible Lancaster alone might be way over 500MB recoverable.

Lincoln was only assessed as a prospect in the CPR, so we don't have much to go on. But the co is already guiding to 250MB, well over the P50 150MB in the CPR, and we know they are conservative with their estimates. There is along way to go, but when we get a CPR Lancaster and Lincoln together could be a billion barrels.
Add in Halifax, which, if linked, drives the resource, in AS' words, "off the scale". Plus Warwick, plus any unknowns out there as yet not publicised.

Refer also the the EnergyVoice article in which RT compared Lancaster/GLA to Johann Sverdrup, which is currently estimated at 1.7B to 3.0 B barrels, with a peak production of 600K bpd.

SCALE, remember that.

AS used the word also in his last interview. OK, I know there's a lot still to be proved, but i'm relaxed about that, tho there is always some operational risk.
As long as the Saudis can get control of PoO, the potential here is enormous. Imho, of course.
