I think the rise today indicates that the deal is going through. They will go to 700.

Hands up, called it wrong!

Thought 400p was a gonna, but indeed a strong bounce off it, fair play....

I was being ultra cautious. I agree. I hold and hope they do make £51m. I was just making the point re valuation to poster DP there, that there is too much intrinsic value between the cash and exisiting operations for the share price to get down to £3-10.

pyman ,your £15m view seems rather pesimistic. consensus broker forecasts for 2009 are about £51.9m p/t , the company is currently looking at 4 aquisitions for a combined value of about $134m , which, if it proceeds, may add £10 - 20m to the existing forecasts.

There is £3-50 odd cash per share. The biz although it will suffer - lets say 75% down profit wise next year will make £15m pretax- thats worth 75-100m conservatively. I think the floor is £3-50.I would think it will not get back down there even.I see the trend line you are looking (summer 07)at re the £3.00 low. I think the fundementals are to strong for the share price to get back down there. Of course an aquisition may damage the SP!

THe thing about charting is that it is self fullfilling. So many folk use them now- especially in American stock, that you can predict price behaviour reasonably accurately - depending on how strong the prevailing pattern is. HTG for example-good support at £4.05 now. resisitant at £4-30. There s a wedge formed which would indicate a break out upward to £4-80 soon. HOwever fundementally - news is out- its dead money -apart from dividend play unless theres a bid (quite likely).Lets see what happens-
