24/2/2009 11:03 | chart looks sick. Think you are right Nimrah. I dont think it will stay there long though.. | pyman
23/2/2009 03:43 | Latest consensus forecast £64.76m. That would be excellent, any more would be a bonus. HTG have a history of beating forecasts. Ian. | old giggleswickian
22/2/2009 15:45 | this is going down to test the low again stay short | nimrah
21/2/2009 10:07 | I think the numbers will be excellent particularly when reported in sterling. It will also be useful to see exactly how much cash they have in the bank, but the crucial items will be the value of the order book and the comments about the prospects going forward. | huggybear1954
19/2/2009 14:38 | Results next week, thoughts anyone? | blackm0nday
12/2/2009 17:28 | well - not a bad close at 4-24. MAybe building up for a breakthrough | pyman
12/2/2009 13:03 | chart wise this £4-20 to £4-30 level is important. Price is failing to get through it at the moment which is a pity. May mean £3-90 s again. If we go up through £4-30 and hold I reckon we should get back up to £5. Maybe the results will give the price the push it needs... | pyman

05/2/2009 12:44 | now theres a thing L and G just crossed 3 to 4% holding. Since they ve been a seller I d have thoufgt that would be from 4 to 3 not 3 to 4. Are they bed and breakfasting? | pyman
04/2/2009 21:59 | national varco results were up 55% and well worth a read.(NOV) | pyman
04/2/2009 18:32 | wood up 10% wellstream up 11% today. Hunting up...1%. | pyman
03/2/2009 16:35 | net consideration of Gibson was 943m canadian dollars + 100m deffered carrying a 12% coupon for 2 years to maturity.(they deducted $215m of Gibson debt) at todays exchange rates that is Sterling £533m cash + £56m with 12% (£70m in 2 years time).I assume they sat with canadian or American dollar as that is the likely curency in which future purchases will be made(unless of course they use the currency gain and buy in UK). THe existing Business is in there VERY cheap. Competitor Varco has just been made a top pick by Motley fool co founder Tom Gardner. They are advocates of going long on oil and feel that the last spike in price was a prelude to long term higher prices as resources dwindle. Hunting are in a great place to weather the hiatus and profit from the next upturn (which will not be too far away). Lack of investment in wells will see a swift return to shortages in supply as the economy turns . | pyman
03/2/2009 09:26 | with results due soon , it seems that hunting will have about 295p cash and, as kooba points out, the exchange rate should work in its favour both at the trading level and cash level. the p/e ratio, ex cash is low at around 4, it seems that to me that it has been overlooked and in a great position to pick up some cheap distressed assets in the forthcoming months. | flyfisher
30/1/2009 13:56 | oil price moving ahead after no worse than expected us gdp...should help oil sector sentiment with knock on to services. seems to be a rather annoying black box seller in the market..no real volume though could well snap back up. | kooba
30/1/2009 13:08 | yup.bang on. | pyman
30/1/2009 12:47 | started buying into this today having watched for a few months. be interesting if cash is being held in £ or $ since completion $ could well have boasted the apparent net £360m cash to nearer £400 with £ decline. i also think in an environment where it is impossible [almost] to raise cash without enormous cost the cash should actually be valued at a premium. company in a great position to do some great deals in a sector with solid long term fundementals....or will get taken out by a us big boy who can buy a cracking business with a big chunk of cash to boot.looks compelling and would expect some take over rumours on this soon. | kooba
30/1/2009 10:03 | probably ran into L and G selling again. | pyman
29/1/2009 23:19 | Yes what going on? Down 6% today. Its done nothing but shed value since I bought this stock in early Jan. I was drawn to it because of the cash pile. Cash is supposed to be king. Worth buying more? | brianp14
29/1/2009 16:46 | What is going on here. General malaise in the sector????? | blackm0nday |
