05/11/2014 07:40 | Well interims look pretty normal. I wonder if this is reacting to the wider oil prices? | citymohawk
04/11/2014 09:30 | Typical of the mms, another tree shake for no apparent reason ! They must know that the interims must be good this week, why do it for a few seconds only? to get cheap shares ready for the climb up | kendo10
07/9/2014 12:58 | Look to be on the front foot | mellorscarthwaite
05/9/2014 11:26 | Good company and fundamentals but topped out at 900p yet again so shorted. Market will be choppy in Sept/Oct and no news due until November. | olded
28/7/2014 05:45 | Are half years due out soon? | eg2mrb
22/7/2014 16:20 | Malcolm Graham-Wood , author of Malcy'sblog gives his Oil Analysis and says to BUY & HOLD in Hunting PLC (HTG.L). See more at: | tiptv1
07/3/2014 10:37 | Results "Outlook" very positive going forward. | mellorscarthwaite
06/3/2014 12:38 | I thought results were rather flat, also not sure about reporting in USD vs Sterling. Sold at 877.summat. | pilgrim
06/3/2014 10:13 | Bizarre initial mark down, but whoever was selling will now be ruing their mistake on the bounce after these solid results. Revenue $1,334.0m (2012 - $1,309.0m) Underlying diluted earnings per share 93.5 cents (2012 - 90.8 cents) Final dividend of 21.8 cents 2012 - 21.3 cents) Net debt $205.8m (2012 - $266.4m) | deadly
21/2/2014 15:58 | Yes i ditherd about buying more as I was looking for sub 750p. The amount of times I have seen this bounce between 760p and 900p is innumerable. Results are dues around 6th of March and I expect after John Wood's good results we may have good news. | mach100
21/2/2014 15:01 | looking good huh? | citymohawk
22/1/2014 21:24 | Ok fly good stuff. Roll on £9 | citymohawk
22/1/2014 18:46 | Hunting plc own 60% hunting energy services uk ltd and 70% hunting energy wuxi co ltd, would that explain it. | flyfisher
22/1/2014 18:32 | Hmmm yes that's what I meant. The 1.1% makes rings some bells from the allocation as pet website. I'm on my phone right now and will check for you in a short while. | citymohawk
22/1/2014 18:07 | citymohawk, sorry I didn't explain myself better. The accounts show how much the non controlling interest is , but do not explain what it is. The income statement shows- Profit attributable to: Owners of the parent 41.0 Non-controlling interests 1.1 I cannot see, in the notes to the accounts what the 'nci' is. I guess that it relates to a part owned subsidiary , but the accounts do not show % ownership of subsidiaries. | flyfisher
22/1/2014 14:20 | Schlumberger's results are in March, That should oil the wheels of this one if they continue to trade strongly. | mach100
22/1/2014 13:21 | You should find major shareholders on the site and be able to calculate it roughly from that? | citymohawk
22/1/2014 09:35 | Would anyone here know what the ''non controlling interest'' in HTG is. I can't seem to find it in the notes. | flyfisher
20/1/2014 19:11 | Absolutely... Don't forget that similar industries have seen some recent consolidation attempts so I wouldnt be surprised if someone is sniffing about at the foot of HTG. | citymohawk
20/1/2014 18:24 | Up almost 6% today! Good value here. | deadly
19/12/2013 08:06 | Salpara. I am in Lamprell and that is a hell of a frustrating share. I down about 50 to 60%. Might be a good entry point for you now but beware the accident prone management!I sold out half my hunting on the results and thought 760p would be a good re-entry point but have no funds until after xmas. Think this will bounce today and previous broker notes have a target of £10.80. HTG pays good divis so I am keen to get back in sub 760p. Schlumberger etc have all had decent results recently so the sector has value and Hunting will rebound. I would also say John Wood's result have been a drag on the share price but Hunting is still a better play than John Wood. | mach100
19/12/2013 07:26 | Ooo, getting very Christmas pressie like at todays price. Stocking fillers! | pyman
18/12/2013 12:34 | I was very nearly back in at 760 but the amount of negative sentiment about the sector means I have held back. I was also looking at Petrofac which is currently around 4 year lows but offers a better divi than HTG. Lamprell is another to consider in the sector but is more of a recovery play at present. Feel that there is pretty good value across the sector now as hopes and share prices have both been scaled back. | salpara111
18/12/2013 09:31 | I got in too early here at 790, but seems to have good fundamentals, unsure of the drop, guess negative sentiment within the sector? | texaspete2 |
