It’s illogical that you are making money on falling share Plat . Are you basing profit on what you think you can sell it for ? It’s a dog . Border is right . AISC up and going up further . Why ? Over 100K Oz production but POG improvement being spent .. stinky set of figures

All the misplaced HUM ramping over the last five years (including bucket shop 'research', Campbell, and now an attention seeking 'Plat' Pratt (20 posts a day, none of which add anything) overlooked that juicy looking cash generation was, in fact, about to run out, and therefore no basis for 'valuing' HUM. Its the usual mistake made by excitable children.

My understanding, quite possibly wrong, is that the agreement with the Mali government gives them a percentage of income (20%?) and 10% of the equity with an option to buy another 10% at 22p.

I'll try to find the definitive answer if I can. It may take a while.

I note that the Mali government is not in the list of significant shareholders.

It turned on anticipation.

This could be an exceptional year for Dugbe and there is still the waiting for the Kouroussa licence and so that anticipation still exists.

The Mali govt share is at project level ie just Yanfolila and was shares in Société Des Mines De Komana and not HUM.It does give some confidence in the Yanfolila project going forward as these are effectively insiders.

Well, BT over on the other thread must be asleep at the wheel..ha!. He makes me laugh so much. Hmm back to some serious stuff!

Firstly congrats to Chip.....bang on with EBITDA of $75m and not far out with pre tax of $27m compared with actual of $26m and ozs sold of 105,540 vs 104,174 actual.

This investing lark is all about sentiment. It ebbs and flows like the waves. I mean look what happened to gamestop. The fundamentals certainly didn't justify a 17 fold rise in 10 days, then down 74% in just 4 days! Ok that's a pretty extreme example but hopefully you get the point.

So, sentiment in Hummingbird is I would argue pretty low at the moment. Some investors probably throwing in the towel today while others sit on their holdings, resigned to their lot! Well, it looks pretty much to me that we are bumping around the bottom. Sure we need something to turn sentiment....then the stock will rise.

Maybe the fact that this is a relatively higher geared gold play than many will be a factor now that we appear to be looking at circa $1300 AISC for 2021. I don't think gold is going to hang around for long beneath the upside trigger point of $1875. Sure, it certainly could drop a bit further in the near term......$1800 or even $1780. However, that would give an extreme oversold state and set up a strong rebound ahead of $2200, possibly $2300. Then the more highly geared gold stocks will outperform.

Look what happened after the 2nd Dec RNS....down to 27p then up to 35.5p 4 weeks later. So sentiment turned.
