We do have ii involvement, with over 40% held by the usual suspects: Odey, Jupiter Majedie, plus management.

It is difficult to see, now that the Kouroussa asset is in the pipeline, why this would not attract a lot of additional interest, particularly at the current POG.

new_buyer I know I'm a narcissistic idiot and you would rather read "the grown ups thread" but I hope you (and others ) took my advice on here on 20th April (post 8399) when I tipped DRD gold? That day it was $6.46 and today, three months later it is $14.97. Pretty good huh? I knew you'd be pleased.

UKGeorge appreciate your response. Gold is looking good, HUM also looks good but something certainly needs to light the fuse.

It is truly baffling gold at new 7 year highs, everything motoring higher hummingbird living up to its name and hovering.

New-buyer I sifted through a lot of gold stocks this morning. I am invested in five of them. Four are up 3% this morning. I must admit, despite what Barchart.com says it does worry me that there is only one that is heading down. This one. Unfortunately, that doesn't make a lot of sense to me. I guess you know the answer?

The gold price. The company should have around $18M free cash flow this quarter. That's circa 4p a share.

It's a huge shame that the BOD are not aligned with shareholders.

This sums up why I'm happy to add.

Casual my portfolio is at an all time high. Helped by Fres, Centamin, Cora and a load of other great shares. These could be the cream on the top, if they would only go up and break 30p. The money being made here is crazy. 4p a quarter, not a year a quarter. A decent LOM update and these should be 50p. I don't understand people who buy bank shares like lloyds for the prospect of a couple % dividend.

The only risk is Mali and Dan.

UKGeorge what is it that underpins your faith here as you have fluctuated between positive and negative over the last month or more, what now makes you content to buy more? Not having a dig just interested.

I just bought 1,153 @29.5p. Just wanted to round my holding up to a nice number.

Come on hummingbird!

Last time I paid that much was July 2018.

Well aware of what I think are the BOD's several missteps.

They make HUM more of a punt than it ought to be.

Casual if a low ball offer comes in the share price does become a problem. For both the BOD and long suffering share holders.

If you want we can talk about the BOD? But I'd rather not put off potential new share holders.

It's frustrating being in a share when paraphrase, 'all others are racing ahead'.
I had the same with AAU for two years and accumulated 3m at an average of 1.74p, nothing much happened despite the company making a profit, increasing resource and paying down debt. Then it started moving and its now 4p.

I'm new-ish to HUM and it feels similar. However at some point the fundamental facts of the company, ie significant profits, no debt, exploration upside, longer LOM etc will eventually over come resistance points and weak holders will be replaced by investors like myself for a longer term rise.

Opportunity cost is, frankly, your problem, not HUM's BOD.

You decide on your portfolio of shares and you set your own expectations for it.

It's not been good for many people at all.

I hope you are right I just hope "eventually" isn't in a decade.

The opportunity cost of holding these shares has been huge. Surely a 50% or so rise is due. I wish they would just start a buy back. Or someone would make a bid.

"What a waste of a gold bull market this company has been for holders"

Why would it be a waste for holders? The cashflow benefit of higher gold is still there, irrespective of the share price. Fundamentals will cut through, eventually.

It's been not so good for traders, yes.
