03/6/2020 10:59 | The cost and damage of the 2019 rain season to HUM will have been much higher than anything Covid can do to them. That and the the fact that the average gold price will be $300/oz higher this year... It's not complicated. If they have a good summer (rain season) then all should be well. | casual47
03/6/2020 10:52 | Well as I said somewhere on one of these threads, the av gold for these results was $1,377 so with gold now $1,700++ that should more than cover any AISC increase (while disappointing I agree)....DYOR | qs99
03/6/2020 10:50 | Not the best start to my day. The market has to worry about the impact on profits and EBITDA caused by the up to $100/oz increase in AISC. However, I'm still optimistic that HUM can make an EBITDA of $90mil this year if it produces 125,000 ounces-necessary for their bonuses. The company is very happy with the results of its drilling program this year and we should hear about drilling results from greenfield sites later this year. They also point out that they have over 1 million ounces of indicated and inferred resources, and a 55% conversion rate historically which, alone, would add 4 or 5 years to the LOM. Doubtless, Dan Betts will be bulling up the company on social media before we get much older, too, for what that's worth. So, I'm still happy to hold for the longer run while aware that the news on AISC will dominate the share price in the short run. Half year results due in early August. | dickbush
03/6/2020 10:48 | Yes indeed, but with POG remaining high, let's hope it is still materially economic | qs99
03/6/2020 10:06 | it's not a sparrow or a swallow.... it's a Hummingbird. and operations - and therefore profits - are humming, too. | backmarker
03/6/2020 10:04 | Big question is Dugbe. Bigger than, but not as good grades as Yanfolila, so what cost to prove up and develop ? | dozyduck
03/6/2020 10:02 | All in all the results are pretty poor IMO. The drill results are also nothing to write home about. Look at the depth. The only thing going for the company is the gold price. | ukgeorge
03/6/2020 09:54 | Now would be a good time for a chat with Andrew on ProactiveInvestors.. | goodgrief
03/6/2020 09:53 | haha great bird shout..... | qs99
03/6/2020 09:53 | Don't care what bird it is... as long as it flies! | goodgrief
03/6/2020 09:51 | haha, well spotted | glennborthwick
03/6/2020 09:46 | Yes NTV - had a good laugh at that. | run12
03/6/2020 09:42 | Whilst one sparrow doesn't make a summer this is a great start to the 2020 exploration programme and we look forward to providing further updates as they arrive." It is a swallow not a sparrow!!!!!!! | ntv
03/6/2020 09:11 | of course we are 5 months of trading down the line now so current debt should be a fair chunk lower. Hopefully higher price offsetting higher aisc costs . Value will out when the debt is clear, 6 more months should do it. | glennborthwick
03/6/2020 09:05 | And down she goes!! | techandy
03/6/2020 09:00 | Some of you don't really get it. You are fantasizing about some seller who will disappear and make way to share price gains. What you have here mainly is the constant selling out of the stock compensation scheme, and this won't stop. It's a scheme to constantly drain out without having the stock implode. Management is sitting on piles of stocks if your read their scheme. For me the reason to move out. | sp500g
03/6/2020 08:53 | not the normal 7.00am release job. Generally positive especially on moving into profit and debt reduction. Plus drill results. Negatives associate with Covid | glennborthwick
03/6/2020 08:48 | "Of particular note is the outstanding drill results coming in from our 2020 exploration drill programme. These holes are intended to prove up underground resources at Komana East and also target new greenfield anomalies. No new targets have been drilled at Yanfolila since 2012 and so it is particularly gratifying to see the intersections at the Bolobi Coura target, prioritised due to their proximity to the plant, looking so strong" | rickyhatton
03/6/2020 08:45 | So market cap c.$125m, EBITDA c.$54m on AISC $987 and Av GP c.$1,377.....net debt $31m and decent exploration upside.... DYOR etc....AISC to be up by up to $100 see RNS, but then if current gold price is at c.$1,700+ that should more than cover it no? Let's hope they can improve upon that guidance.... Thoughts? | qs99
02/6/2020 23:24 | If they are still selling even if its just another 5-6% your 40p still looking sometime of unless gold breaks $1800 plus, cant see that till back end of the year, also think markets are going to tank again this month so much bad news going to come out next 6-7 weeks, so decided i will reduce my holding again this week reserve some more cash for what i think is coming, made steady 24% gain not too shabby but very disappointing not made more compared to other producers, i will leave a 100k holding let it ride long term hopefully make me better gains AV. | avsome1968
02/6/2020 13:54 | 70-100% depending on exact price | dan_the_epic
02/6/2020 13:48 | Mid to late teens so they have made circa 50% in a relatively short period of time, smart in my book. | new_buyer
02/6/2020 13:14 | Didn't Sustainable buy a chunk of stock in the middle teens pence last year? Nice buy really | dan_the_epic
02/6/2020 13:10 | This major seller has to be an imbecile. If they stopped selling for about a week, the price would rise to 35p. They then could offload at a much higher price. Remaining share holder would not mind as our share would have broken a major resistance level. When it's not their money, these seller do not engage their brain. GLH. This trading update is taking its time. | kickingking |
