Bull market as defined by takeovers and mergers. There is little M&A action, especially across the categories e.g. takeovers by majors of juniors and by producers of explorers etc and what little activity there is is often still done at a discount to NAV.

If we do enter into a bull market then valuations will go CrrrrAzzzzY.

True on the premiums, I think only small or intermediate mining companies would be interested tbh. But can dream.

I would argue that we are in a bull mkt for gold plays, centamin, peter hambro, highland gold, polymetal, barrick to name just a few have been making multi year highs.

Few takeovers have been at a premium or in cash.

Good luck with getting a multi-bagger if a giant takes over HUM in an all-share deal.

The truth is that we are not in a bull market for miners.

Come on Dan start a share buy back!!!!!

Roll on 28p being smashed and then the 40p, at today's gold price we should be making over 1p per share each month.

Failing that I hope one morning we wake up to someone making a bid for the company.

Agree, though possible investors should maybe think Q2 AISC creeps up for COVID19 measures, but not underlying. Hard tos ay at this point. But not meaningful vs the cash generation.

Whilst this is a fair point, I would have thought the impact of costs arising from COVID-19 measures would be minimised or perhaps even negated altogether by the low oil price. It could even be the case that AISC comes in even lower than expected because of this element.

I would add to that list exploration success on any of the 3 targets this season:

"As previously announced, three drill rigs were mobilised to site and commenced drilling on 5 March 2020, with the aim of achieving the three principal drilling objectives for 2020, namely:

a. Identifying underground high-grade resources at Komana East;
b. Identifying additional open pit oxide resources at Sanioumale East and West; and
c. Testing new greenfield resource targets within the SMK mining licenses and nearby exploration license."

Excellent post on ATYM by the way: just like this, a much improved company not yet recognised in the share price

Plasybryn I'm sure he did. Shareprophets? Plenty of knowledgable prophets been on here for the last three years. Nothing new, is it? Perhaps a crystal ball would be better? For all our sakes, let's hope that the prophecies come good this time?

I see Golden Prospect is an investor in HUM. They invest normally in Australian and Canadian gold miners, not liking AIM. But they make an exception for HUMM. I think they only hold three UK stocks in the Fund, one of which is Humingbird. Bert Monroe ex Humingbird and now Cora Gold, spoke well at the Shareprophets online conference yesterday making positive remarks about Mali & HUMM. Etc.

So, was FSJ's 10 page report after his visit to the mine also a mistake? Didn't he post a link to that on here? What happened?

podgyted, spot on, whilst these message boards are useful for opinions and snippets of information it should only be a very small proportion of the information to base an investment on. Many have made that mistake.

Strangely I don't consider the LSE BB or even this one to be the font of all knowledge.

I'm waiting on the full year accounts and H1 production - then we'll see - good or bad.

Interesting to note the share price is currently where it was in summer 2016/2017/2018 and 2019, with nothing attributed to debt reduction, the new ball mill, increased milling capacity, increased production Ounces, and the uplift in POG which has been static at USD1200/Oz +/-100 for 5 years until the last 6 months..

Near term catalysts to start the re-rating towards 50p ..

1 - Q2 update and another 30,000 Ounces, making 4 in a row
2 - H1-2020 Net cash positive statement
3 - Q2 reduction of AISC down from 875
4 - POG heading towards USD2000/Oz
5 - Q2 Trade payable reduction confirmation
6 - 2021 debt free statement
7 - A maiden and sustained dividend
8 - Progress or developments at Dugbe
9 - JV on Cora projects

Some chat elsewhere of maybe expecting a dividend at the finals, and cash flow here should clearly be strong at the moment. Not sure that would be the right course of action given you want a dividend to be sustainable but more importantly I'm not sure putting out a 1-2% yield would necessarily have the right signalling effect. Better to strengthen the balance sheet

I've been looking at North American stocks over the last couple of weeks and most gold related companies showing good strength despite almost all of them having also capitulated in March

The difference now is that the cash is there and coming through, and the balance sheet is strengthening. Now it is just a matter of time. Investors don't wake up to these changes day 1. First quarters results showed they are on the path. Share prices are self fulfilling. The valuation here is very low. Once this breaks out it will draw in buyers. These blocks were not in place 3 years ago. Levered, takes time to sort of operational hiccups. I would be astonished if it languishes here or lower with cash falling into the kitty. Let us see what happens!!
