Zhockey - speak to guys who run mining companies like Mark Bristow at Randgold. They will tell you we've seen peak gold. When was the last monster gold discovery made? The WGC don't give accurate information imo and have consistently underestimated physical gold demand.

Rogue, peak gold is an inevitability however I'll believe it's passed when the WGC report it. For now at least production is rising.

Yikes, no need to be a d1ck about it.

We all know there is one II selling out. Won't be long before they are done. They have demonstrated all these months that they don't have an appetite for selling below 32-ish, which makes that a very good entry point to me.

Meanwhile this share has reached commercial production and is establishing a healthy cash flow, so much derisked from where it was few months ago.

And Attie Roux joining the company is interesting for all sorts of reasons.

What does 'a trend is a trend' mean ? The usual rejoinder is 'until it stops being a trend'. I might know, having closely researched (with the proper sums) all 80 or so junior miners since 2006. Show me a junior miner who hasn't seen a succession of moderately long uptrends, followed by even longer downtrends over that period. And what is the point of investing during a long downtrend ? HUM has been in one for 8 months now and for all sorts of reasons spelled out here Feb 27th isn't likely to change direction any time soon. Are you clever enough to jump from the downers to the uppers at the right time ? I doubt it.

A trend is a trend. I dont think you know what you are talking about

Mr Clore. If you think there's such a thing as a long term trend in a junior miner, you've obviously never invested in one.

zhockey / Jim

interesting, another article from a seekingalpha scribe (link below), states gold mine supply has been falling since 2016 with the trend showing further falls into the future.

JimB, the Q1 WGC report had mine production up 3% if I recall correctly?

Peak gold:

All major gold deposits have been discovered, Goldcorp chairman says

"Gold produced from mines has gone up pretty steadily for 40 years,” Telfer tells the Financial Post. “Well, either this year it starts to go down, or next year it starts to go down, or it’s already going down... We're right at peak gold here."

George - the long term trend is up. I don't worry too much about a large seller bucking against the trend, all it does is make the stock more undervalued for us bargain hunter long termers. I'm filling me boots at 32p - if it ever gets there!

these are so frustrating near enough every commodity share has risen strongly over the last few months and these despite good news just trickle lower.

Unbelievably muted buying interest at the moment. Sods Law says as soon as it goes to 40p the buyers will be all over it. You couldn't make it up lol!

I think now is the time for them to buy back some shares, to cover the dilution from this recent issue along with the executive options, I think a nice buy of a few million will set this off like a rocket now ...

Thanks Charles - seems to me the share price has not reflected what appears to be a good execution of production ramp up and the impact on revenbue and profits - plus with indices quite high, adding a gold miner at this point seems to make sense as a hedge.
