20/3/2018 10:58 | Just for a possible idea on how a change in Gov royalties might impact the project I am including a simple table of post-tax NPV(8%) with differing levels of royalties and gold price. I have left tax at 30% (could increase of course!). Left Gov free carry at 20% and included Sustaining CAPEX (estimated) and D&A (estimated). Yanfolila project sensitivities to Royalty and Gold price: all in US$m, 7yr LoM only. Gold Price (US$/oz) 1,250 1,300 1,350 1,400 Gov 3% 156.4 166.0 183.3 200.6Royalty 4% 151.7 161.3 178.4 195.6 5% 147.0 156.7 173.6 190.5 6% 142.3 159.9 168.8 185.5 Clearly, this table is only based on my own NPV model and is therefore subject to error even though I have tried to use actual data provided by HUM. Under the new mining law it is possible that royalty levels, tax and free carry could all increase. We will have to wait and see what transpires. However, based on just the royalty doubling, the NPV sensitivity does not indicate it would be a 'game changer'. Just IMHO of course, Chip | chipperfrd
20/3/2018 10:38 | Looks overdone IMO and here comes the bounce GLA... | qs99
20/3/2018 10:29 | That was a "steal" this a.m.! | lasata
20/3/2018 10:22 | The speculation and obfuscation here are reaching Russian nerve agent levels. What will be ascribed to the shareprice movements next? I note that the other Mali gold miners are not behaving the same way. Curious that. But I suppose anything can be crowbarred into an explanation if you want to fit a narrative. | casual47
20/3/2018 10:06 | Looks like a screaming buy to me at this level............ | lasata
20/3/2018 10:05 | This was only signed last yearDan Betts, CEO of Hummingbird Resources, said: "The Government of Mali continues to be a committed and willing partner of Hummingbird as we work together to unlock the significant value of Yanfolila. I am delighted to see that the Government has exercised its option to increase its interest in the Project through the acquisition of an additional 10% of Société Des Mines De Komana for a consideration of US$11 million. I believe this is a clear signal of the Government's appreciation of the enormous value accretion potential of Yanfolila in the long term."We are grateful to the Government of Mali for their support and look forward to the months ahead as we work towards our objective of delivering our first gold pour by year end."Professor Tiémoko Sangare, Minister of Mines in Mali, said: "Bringing a new Malian mine into production is a tremendous achievement for all concerned and is the culmination of many years of investment and commitment by Hummingbird. Yanfolila's transition into a producing asset over the next 12 months will crystallise the value of this important national asset and will make tangible contributions to Mali through the generation of revenue, creation of employment and other ancillary benefits." | muffster
20/3/2018 10:03 | If this goes below 30 im selling everything I own and sticking it in here - anybody know how much I can get for six-year-old and two-year-old ??!! | darola
20/3/2018 09:59 | I saw the article on the new law last friday. IMO that has nothing to do with this fall. | ukgeorge
20/3/2018 09:51 | 'then does the fall not look overdone? '....Until we know exactly what this new law is it is nigh impossible to calculate its financial impact | gersemi
20/3/2018 09:50 | Plenty of support at 27p. If it goes below 30 I will be backing up the truck here. | charles clore
20/3/2018 09:50 | I wonder how dangerous this new Mali law could be for HUM? Need some clarification? Obviously Market is getting jumpy, but if doesn't affect current mine life, merely the extension, and given how low cost a producer HUM is (at present) then does the fall not look overdone? DYOR | qs99
20/3/2018 09:41 | I think 10k per month is easily doable before long...........that RNS was badly scribed! | lasata
20/3/2018 09:41 | The chart is now suggesting a return to 28p. Unless we get a strong bounce. | ukgeorge
20/3/2018 09:40 | Total gold in circuit Dec = 55,699 x 2.02 x 95.9% /31.1 = 3,469 oz Jan = 72,346 x 2.34 x 95.8% /31.1 = 5,214 oz Feb = 86,592 x 3.35 x 96.5% /31.1 = 9,000 oz Total gold poured Dec = 55,699 x 2.02 x 95.9% /31.1 = 2,593 oz Jan = 72,346 x 2.34 x 95.8% /31.1 = 3,897 oz Feb = 86,592 x 3.35 x 96.5% /31.1 = 6,726 oz The gold in circuit is always going to be a certain amount say 6-10koz. By the looks of it it is all on track. Perhaps March will be 8koz followed by 9.5koz. | ukgeorge
20/3/2018 09:38 | I think that they have clearly failed to transmit the information in a clear and concise fashion. They could have done a Chip. Much better. Taking the statement about the first 14 days of March and assuming the same for 31 days, you have about 3,385 tonnes milled per day (at 91% availability which is the design throughput) for 31 days: Mar = 104.935 x 3 x 96% /31.1 = 9,717 oz First year target is 10,000 oz per month. See slide 8. On target to me. hxxp://hummingbirdre | wassapper
20/3/2018 09:21 | So why not simply add the gold produced each month to the table? Would that be too transparent? | sleveen
20/3/2018 09:17 | The only figs which matter from Chip......indicating they will hit proposed 133k production in first full year Dec = 55,699 x 2.02 x 95.9% /31.1 = 3,469 oz Jan = 72,346 x 2.34 x 95.8% /31.1 = 5,214 oz Feb = 86,592 x 3.35 x 96.5% /31.1 = 9,000 oz Steady improvements month by month. Well done HUM :-) Chip | lasata
20/3/2018 09:07 | wonder if it will break previous low Feb 18, getting unduly hammered. A buy soon imo. | edjge2
20/3/2018 08:58 | Great post thanks. | ukgeorge

20/3/2018 08:26 | What's the news on the Mali mining laws then? Anyone checked in with HUM on this? | qs99
20/3/2018 08:15 | Lack of patience. Story hasn't changed it just gets confirmed more and more everyday, and HUM remains undervalued. if it stays below 40 I'm adding another £20k in my ISA April 6th. | darola
20/3/2018 08:02 | Not good drip drip down ?? Any views | squash90 |
