This really is a awful company.
Expect more institutions and directors to sell into any dead cat bounce

Homeserve really are a terrible company. As above I receive regular calls and letters from them asking me to "imagine myself landed with a huge bill for water repairs which I am responsible for". Their pushy sales staff try and scare you into buying, and as mentioned above I've heard numerous stories of people actually taking their cover, then when something happens they wriggle out of the claim due to a 'wear and tear' type clause in the contract. Waste of time and a terrible terrible company.

I have no doubts that the share price will bounce back here and i'm not touching it either way, but to anyone thinking of actually taking their cover, don't waste your time.

looks like analysts think they could attract bid interest at this level now. Get ready for the bounce back ladies.

I think best to hold for the inevitable bounce back tmrw, big fall for a storm in a teacup. Still hefty broker targets remain intact:

Credit Suisse, has also downgraded Homeserve (HSV), and now has a neutral position on the shares, havng previously expected the shares to outperform their peers.

"Given the level of uncertainty we understand that negative sentiment is likely to be the dominant force in HSV's share price in the short term. However, our bear/worst-case scenarios suggest that a Neutral rating is a proper reflection of the mix between uncertainty and long term value potential. We do not change our forecasts at this stage but lower our recommendation to Neutral (from Outperform) and target price to 485p (from 570p)," the broker said.

got in at 329. Even a dead cat bounce from this would produce a quick easy return and HSV dont even look like a slightly poorly cat lol.
