insiderboy further to your post 114 if u have been there as u imply , how can you implore the type of posts u have previousley posted on here,

which in retrospect were at least misleading and without foundation and at worst out right lies with the intention of persuading ill informed/novices to part with their money with the sole intention of attempting to boost price of shares which in turn line your pockets. This is my opinion is as low as u can go in your attempt to profit by others misfortune i therefore sincerely hope by your own deeds u do not profit and wish u all the best in a rapid decline in fortunes

You have made me get my hanky out Esmerelda..... why did you sell out today though - you would have been better accepting the 25p and making £1k less of a loss??? .. and you would have paid charges on today`s deal!

Yes and no. I saw the Cannon's announcement and sold all my shares after 1625 this afternoon (the last three trades look like mine). Lost 40% of my entire life savings with those transactions as I put everything into HOL when the price dropped below 50p. Cannon's was my last hope of recovering a few quid more here but without that I could only see 25p on the table with the potential to lose even that if the bid did not go through. I think the documentation you refer to would be coordinated with the first offer closing date on the 12th June when they have to announce how close they are to 50%. I blame no one for this personal disaster other than myself, what little research I did was limited to the boards of iii, here and in the newspapers.

In March last year I had just under £200k invested, had made £60k in a year and had just diversified into ten companies to protect that money. You may recognise some of the names; Energis, Marconi, Anite, Henlys, Tadpole Tech, Kewill, Keystone etc. This evening I have £25k of that money left and credit card debts of £130k. It was never meant to be like that!!

I'm off to the gym now (honest), it's a Livingwell!

Hi Hot/oldtown and other shafted investors!!

Been away for a while but see things haven't improved!!

I can't believe at this ridiculous price nobody has upped the offer!

What is the situation if most shareholders reject the buyout?
Will a better offer have to be made by Bridgepoint or could it all collapse, resulting in a further drop in the share price?

if i don't reply to the offer does it automatically get registered that i am against the offer or is it best to send in saying NO?

I haven't received anything in the post yet!!
Could this be intentional by fisher and co?????

Loks like cannons are out of the question now.....what about Whitbread, which i understand has been mentioned in the past and is still being touted about.

HOT......i'mabout to light my own barbie......it's a muggy afternoon here and perfect for a few bevvies and grilled fish!!

I have just contacted Holmes Head office and Fishers PA has informed me that after being asked if i am a shareholder she said 'bare with us some documents will be going out in the next few days'.

It will be interesting to see the content.I got the impression she is getting a number of calls from shareholders.

I received my letter telling me about the bid a few days ago. As a 0.25% shareholder, I intend NOT to respond to the offer (effectively rejecting it through inaction). I hope others do the same.

I'd rather invest long term and get significant dividends than sell out at this price - though I do believe that if the offer is rejected by shareholders, a higher bid will arise in due course.

The best bet for anyone who has actually lost money is probably to sue the managers. At the very least, any loss is due to their negligence.

I guess the answer is maybe to hang on if you can. The offer at 25p should keep the share price arounbd that price - currently you could sell @23.5.

The advantages of holding is the slim chance that something better might happen in the form of another bid etc which will push the price up.

I got in 28.75p so not as bad as some who paid a lot more.

I think is was a sensible buy and we've been shafted.

My letter foing to fiscer tommorrow:

June 2nd 2003

Fear Allan,
I write to you regarding the management bid for Holmes Place. In your offer documentation you state that the possible offer referred to in the announcement of 10 January 2003 was at a premium to the company’s share price at the time. At the time the share price was approximately 90p so I would assume your offer would be over 100p. I would like to know how you have now managed to value the company at a mere 25p ? You have effectively quartered the value of the company on a dew months.
I also look forward to replies of my others two letters I have sent.
