Been some decent sized director purchases recently |
TRP Bowl.
IMO |
GDR.. The weekly chart over a two year period looks excellent. Current share price 2.5p is at the bottom of a forming bowl, I would expect this to get back to the 20p mark within months and then retest the highs of 2023, circa 42p |
I don’t mind them trying out new ideas - they clearly haven’t got obsessed with any grand plan and have cut it quickly. No point if the return is better from bowling. If that return is better them it may be that the rival activities in smaller venues are not going to generate returns to justify much expansion and competition for customers. Bowling is said to be once a year - not sure anything will replace that - the other activities might be add-ons for a family. Anyone can bowl and hit at least some pins - not sure how inclusive golf and cricket are.
No way of predicting really but as you say the opportunity is in Canada. |
I'm a little bit uneasy with today's statement. The £5m Puttstars writeoff suggests a risk of a failed concept to me that needs monitoring and it then also occurred to me that the growth of competitive socialising is good but with the growth of social cricket, golf and clay pigeon shooting (amongst others) there could be a risk of competitive pressures which is denting the UK LFL sales figures. The low cost of employees as part of the cost base is well known and has been flagged for some time and will be handy, but it then becomes a question can they hold down prices enough to tackle the weak consumer environment seeing as UK LFL was only 0.2% this year anyway including c2% declining game volumes on c3% price increases.
Can Canada take up the slack? It's still only a relatively small part of the business. |
Quite a bit less at £1.2mln then. Approx 3% hit.
News yesterday was that UK growth has slowed a bit as a result of decreased restaurant /cafe / pub sales.
This NI increase is not going to be pretty for the smaller establishments. |
Spire healthcare. SPI |
nice bowl forming over on SCE current share price 0.40 target 1.50 chart looks exceptional |
I reckon that must be fairly close. Just did a calculation using various assumptions of the additional NI on over £9000 earnings, combined with the NI on people doing 20-29 hours part time. Kept getting close to £2mln.
Somewhere around a 5% worst case hit to annual profit if there are no adjusting circumstances ? |
What's the estimate on additional NI costs here? 2,500 employees, so maybe an additional £2 million a year? |
The chairman buys 100,000 shares at £3.20. Nice to see a meaningful director purchase, so followed him and added a few more. |

Ok CPI has a flat bottom if you zoom out on the weekly, more like a sink bowl but a sink bowls has steep sides. |
Well this is an encouraging rise before the update :) |
I think that most people's interpretation of a bowl is very misleading Clasping at straws |
Apologies I don't know how to paste in but isn't that a clear example of a cup and handle on the RSG long term header chart to 80p |
Trading Updates have been 19/10/23 10/10/22 8/10/21 15/10/21
so a bit tricky to predict as they are not obliged to inform the market but very undervalued IMO |
performance of this stock has been disappointing for the past couple of months. I'm extremely bullish here. The business is always busy whenever I visit and the management have shown their worth here. Hopefully can get a few more buys in before the ER.
I'm expecting just under £130m in revenue for H2. Would give y/y revG of 15%. |
Full year trading update due soon, 19th October last year. |
Now .. Look a bit beyond a mere miner .. and you'll see potentially WHY .. such a 'Bowl' exists..
- Bring up the spot Silver Chart .. (Monthly bars)
That is my .. 'interpretation' .. on what a 'Bowl' and 'Cup & Handle' .. should look like. (this one with a rising trend base thrown in for good measure)
= It may take a few months or years to fully play out .. but that's not a problem if you're not using 'margin'..
- You just don't get better than that ... .. So I think I'll have a drink, and pop a few in the pension.. ... Thank you very much ..
... DYOR etc .. of course .. |
I tend to use weekly / Monthly charts ..to get a view over a longer period.. - Cos some Bowls .. Just take ages to form..
So .. the offering for the day ... For a fine example of a 'Beautiful Bowl' .. over a 3 year period ..
Have a look at Resolute Mining .. - Just starting the climb out up the other side.. (my view only .. .. you are all capable of making up your own mind & basing your decisions on that) [allegedly] .. although politicians & lawyers may disagree - they could be wrong.]
Remember .. weekly or Monthly bars.. |
