06/9/2017 22:21 | Of course it gets raised, extended or whatever. But as inevitable as the next lot of hurricanes the world is realising the dollar is not worthy of international support never mind world currency reserve status and will blow itself out sooner rather than later. Something will give; a new world order for currency perhaps, but with or without the Yanks it won't be on their terms. Keep digging boys. Topicel | topicel
06/9/2017 21:16 | Junkie US debt lovers kick the can until they bash the credit card again in December ..and that is seen as a positive !! | onedayrodders
06/9/2017 20:24 | Yanks getting to work now. Smack-down Wednesday instead. All geo-political concerns irrelevant now. | eeza
06/9/2017 20:06 | That's the reason then. And Irma might just add to the conscience of Congress. Another couple of months with the world's major power and reserve currency printer running on fumes. How much longer is the farce going to last? Topicel | topicel
06/9/2017 19:54 | Debt ceiling can-kicked to December. | eeza
06/9/2017 17:20 | It certainly could be juju, I would say it definitely was too if it wasn't for other PM miners going down today as well. Probably they'll all go down and HOC will go down and close the gap. Might well not happen, it'll go where it goes. Thankfully for us we have that gap down from 318 to working our favour on the way back up again. | shakeypremis
06/9/2017 16:34 | Looks like this is heading down to close that gap at 267 . Never ignore a gap | juju44
06/9/2017 15:20 | It is dawning on people that America will NOT be great again... the dollar is losing ground and I think S'E' Asia is firming up as the new power-house. Trump is not a statesman and Debt (private commercial and country-wide) is the one factor to ensure a fine future for precious metals. | rhuvaal2
06/9/2017 11:43 | I suspect HOC would be much higher if its main listing was in North America. | february 30th
06/9/2017 11:31 | Under accumulation and they want in as cheap as possible no doubt - won't last! :)) SILVER: BREAKOUT | goldenshare888
06/9/2017 11:31 | There is probably a lot of sideline sitting waiting on the debt deal, the next hurricane Irma direction and, of course, whether or not NK will celebrate on the 9th with another rocket or two... And wouldn't you know it's a weekend! Just maybe the Chinese oil/gold set up will keep the market more interested in the longer term? Certainly we got to near $18 very quickly from pushing $17 - ten days or so? - and that suggests we will continue the momentum in PM pricing north regardless. HOC will no doubt take a bid again should this occur. Still suspicious that debt ceiling woes can be delayed further without trouble, disaster monies needed or not. Surely the same question applies: why does the US keep running out of money anyway? We know the answer but it requires another reading of the riot act about it all just the same from the Tea Party and Freedom Caucaus mob... Topicel | topicel
06/9/2017 11:19 | strange action today in share price ... but as pointed out very thin trading | onedayrodders
06/9/2017 11:19 | edge .. the big dive according to quite a few analysts and chartists wont be until $1378-1380 is reached. The talk is a back test to around $1300 again before moving on again | onedayrodders
06/9/2017 11:12 | The trading volumes are tiny despite world events. Any fear in the markets seem to only last a few days before becoming stagnant. | richkid71
06/9/2017 11:10 | CC I think the diversification into canadian cobalt may have upset some. Waiting UKOG result myself butlooks a good price with metals at high prices. Catching up to do. Yank prices following their PM stocks. Weiss with their long term fractal type gold chart predicting dive early sep 2017 but now making a diving board, perhaps that is why PMs making counter move to metals. | edjge2
06/9/2017 10:57 | Charles C it wasn't always thus. I think recent results have, for some reason, affected HOC share price advancement. | ifthecapfits
06/9/2017 10:50 | edjge2 Preferred Captain Scarlet and Marine Boy to be honest ;o) | onedayrodders
06/9/2017 10:48 | PMs go up and true to form HOC stays put! | charles clore
06/9/2017 10:44 | Silver $18 very soon .... :-) then $19, $20 in short order?! | stevea171
06/9/2017 08:55 | Looks as thought the 'debt ceiling' charade will be can-kicked into December. | eeza
06/9/2017 08:45 | Shakey, I recall $1343 as the election night spike, and not for long and, arguably, not in the 'normal' hours of trading! Anyway, that seems to be the hurdle we are being held at. Certainly miners aren't reacting as though much more mileage is left in this rise in PMs without, as you say, another 'event' to propel us properly through 1350, say. Nothing goes up in a straight line. When Pearl Harbour was attacked, how did gold react anyway? Or the twin towers? It is the threat that instils the safe haven moves, so bring on more shutdown talk IMHO as NK war is not a threat that most market commentators or fund managers are seriously considering... Topicel | topicel
05/9/2017 22:08 | Looks like NK will launch serious ICBM next weekend as they said on thunderbirds anything can happen in next 24hrs. Showing my age oops Surprise rate rise september? | edjge2
05/9/2017 21:08 | dingo .. I agree but who knows how much further before it pops | onedayrodders
05/9/2017 20:06 | Gold has now passed the Trump election spike. Has to be a good sign (for gold and gold mining investors). | shakeypremis |
