18/1/2018 11:08 | But the specials are after any demand from capital spending - I did not read every word but I picked up they are going to build a power station - I am sure that will draw a lot of capital spend - so I read that as do not assume specials and a re-iteration of the 20% can be seen as lower dividends. Production may get higher - but the yield is declining so that may not result in much move on profit. | fenners66
18/1/2018 11:03 | At its December meeting, Highland Gold's Board of Directors adopted a dividend policy designed to reflect the Company's cash generation, profitability, balance sheet strength, and capital investment requirements. The Company anticipates total dividend payout for each financial year will be 20% of Net Cash Flow from Operating Activities. The Board may recommend the distribution of additional cash on the balance sheet through increased or special dividends should those funds not be required for capital expenditure or debt repayment. ================= "The Board may recommend the distribution of additional cash on the balance sheet through increased or special dividends" Special dvii.....bring it on. | 11_percent
18/1/2018 10:47 | That is why they stated last month they will pay specials also, to lift if necessary I would have thought. They are looking for production to be a lot higher over the coming years so dividends will rise if that happens, dyor nice discussing though. | srpactive
18/1/2018 10:37 | Looking at the share price reaction my initial guess is that means dividends will fall - not what I was looking for. From the financials page it suggests cash flow per share as 34p last year 20% of that would be 6.8p Dividends last year were 10.4p So that would be a 34% reduction? Not good..... Any better calculations ? | fenners66
18/1/2018 10:37 | Dividends per year with a chance of specials also, I would think, dyor. | srpactive
18/1/2018 10:35 | I wish more companies would pay out dividends on a similar basis. | loganair
18/1/2018 10:32 | So what is the impact of this bit "The Company anticipates total dividend payout for each financial year will be 20% of Net Cash Flow from Operating Activities. The Board may recommend the distribution of additional cash on the balance sheet through increased or special dividends should those funds not be required for capital expenditure or debt repayment." ??? | fenners66
18/1/2018 07:21 | Shay Yes, just been reading a little myself, the output was higher than the guide last year so all good with a higher gold price achieved also, I am happy with the rns for what it is worth, steady and growing, dyor. | srpactive
18/1/2018 07:10 | f66 They rose due to shorts closing (buying), it is also the fear that they bring, yelling how bad things are from all the media, if I sell I keep quiet. Why did the UK ban shorting the banks in the crisis if all is good with the practice, it might take an investment house a long time to acquire a position, but seconds for a shorter that does not own them to sell it, just wrong. Anyway enough talk about the shorting method lets talk constructive not destructive. | srpactive
18/1/2018 01:07 | Europe does a lot of strange things - doesn't make them right. So when the share price here gets "too high" do you sell and bank a profit or do you say to yourself oh no can't do that it would have the same effect as a short ...... Maybe you sell and buy some more after the share price falls - and congratulate yourself on your astute timing.... its just the same. So maybe you could introduce some communist style market control and make it illegal for anyone to sell as a wave of selling can mean a surplus of supply and share prices fall...... It's supply and demand that's it - even CLLN shares rose last Thursday - proving that the most shorted share under the most obvious pressure can still rise regardless all it took was more demand than supply. | fenners66

Investors should help each other to beat the institutions not hinder for goodness sake. That comment makes no sense what so ever. That is such a childish emotional statement I question if you actually understand the markets properly. Oh as in your style DYOR. | bigdazzler

17/1/2018 11:00 | Thanks SR- I've scanned the web for an hour- the earliest dates I can find on any release of any info on results is Apr2018 which is odd- I agree info on Q4 should be sooner but can't find anything. Gold is zigzagging all over the place at the moment but I expect a rise today as dollar weakened last night and remains slightly weaker today. | stevedaytrader |
