16/12/2015 16:57 | I have been away most of this week so just seen this news that Chris James resigned! wow and that followed by this statement from the residence clown: As Nyrstar no longer hold more than 10% of the issued capital of the Company, the provisions of the subscription agreement dated 16 April 2010 for Nyrstar to appoint a representative to the board of Herencia no longer apply. Chris was the last person from Nyrstar who had little control over GS wild adventure and he is gone, now GS can do whatever he wants and more, Chris was a good man and perhaps the only one person I would have trusted in the board, and look at the share price today, people are off-loading and soon we see what sort of BS Mr. GS is going to feed to the market! truly ashamed Chris is gone! sad and dark days ahead guys, there is nothing left to save! only one clown and his lonely show! | stockready
16/12/2015 13:39 | The repercussions of the demise of these juniors, the ramifications for commodity producing nations of heavyweights like Glencore etc getting hammered are concerning.we all know that mines don't open overnight. In fact the decision to pursue production for many juniors, including Herencia, was as a result of a misguided plan made many years ago.You could argue that Michael Bohm filled Graeme Sloan in with ridiculous notions that Herencia was a sure fired winner!Well, not long now til we discover whether Mr Sloan is the Sam Allardyce of junior miners and keeps our listing! The likelihood is that our assets will go for a song and a whimper.Tougher capital ratios have killed bank appetite for funding high risk projects as concurrently the demise of the prop books has seen an evaporation of speculative interest in stocks like Herencia.Sadly gentlemen,it's the same old story. ....the Lord giveth the Lord taketh away. | steeplejack

29/11/2015 09:19 | Very good article about copper in Sunday Telegraph business section page 18.Extract below - "The bigger players are gambling that a price recovery will come before pressure mounts to cut costs further, or follow Glencore in sacrificing dividends. “In the next two or three years we can see the light at the end of the tunnel as far as copper is concerned,” Jean-Sebastien Jacques, boss of Rio Tinto’s copper unit, said last week. China may be slowing, but estimated GDP growth of 6.5pc a year was still grounds for optimism, he added. And China still accounts for 45pc of the world’s copper. ‘We would rather cut costs than production. If we suspend production, then it’s difficult to restart’ “Even at today’s prices, our business makes money,” says BHP Billiton, the FTSE 100 miner. “We expect copper supply will struggle to keep up with demand by the end of the decade.” Moreover, costs are coming down, thanks to the lower oil price, a stronger US dollar and lower labour overheads. Nonetheless the long-term prognosis is not good, argues Barclays’ Davis. “Copper’ | steeplejack

25/11/2015 10:10 | It's difficult to to see why anyone would wish to buy into Picachos right now.Its very bad luck for Herencia in many ways but the copper industry now appears inclined to shore itself up with nationally inspired subsidies that can only prolong the "bumping along the bottom".Who knows, ten years down the way,Picachos might be a highly profitable enterprise but who truly knows! | steeplejack |
