Has everybody gone to sleep on this board?

Good buying opportunity here as, looking at recent trading history, recent share price fall must only be small investors getting nervious before the final announcements of 15th August.

Most of fabric companies are now sold and those that are not are either about to be sold and any losses have been provided for or are profitable and awaiting disposal in the next few months.

In 12 months the company will have returned to its core of being the biggest and most efficient carpet distributor in the UK with growing influence in Europe.

Expect major jump in share price in next few days before HEAD consolidates at higher levels.

I understand that the MD has not cut his hair recently but I do not think it has anything to do with a recession!!

BTW

The one third from right bottom row is a bit of all right.

I've been using the headsie index for a few years, I think the sunday mail have got it wrong about just men cutting thier hair less. I use the female headsie, combined with the little know "Dishevelled" index, I've posted the monthly chart below

According to an article in the sunday mail during the times leading up to a recession men cut their hair less and during do it themselves. 'The headsie' could become an important index. Has anyone not cut their hair recently?

Apparently the stock was tipped in a magazine (not sure which one) leading to Wednesday's surge. Today's news (now yesterdays!) re disposals looks interesting; it was worries about the future earnings of the textiles division which caused the price to fall off a cliff a while back. Results are due week after next so keep watching.

Does anyone have an opinion on the outlook for this company based on turnover, profits, future prospects, etc, etc, rather than charts?

Totally agree. Looking at MACD and oscillators such as Williams %R and Stoch. Osc all seem to be moving in the right direction with a general increase in volume.

year ended 31 December 1995 1996 1997 1998 1999

turnover £m 147 186 270 328 387
pre tax profit £m 7.72 11.6 18.1 22.9 28.7

Forecast for year ended 31 December
2000 2001
pre tax profit 32.3 36.7

Strong interim results.
Aggressive expansion.
Fantastic historical growth for both turnover and pre-tax profit.
How much lower can this possibly go?

In the autumn of 98, the share price dropped to below £2. Less than a year later it was around £4.30.

Any thoughts on whether or not this may be repeated over the coming year?
