Arpy, I think the 102.5p is realistic but we will almost certainly have to wait for the next up phase to achieve that - at best, this phase has only a few days to run. Middle of December should get it done !

Buys looking good. :-D - I was hoping for 95p by friday (i.e tomorrow). It doesn't look like i'll get it so soon.

What short term target you got here?

Me also ! Removed my remaining short yesterday so now completely Long on HAS. Only a very quiet amount though as Bums on Seats has cost me quite a bit in the bear market and I remain under confident but fair value is about 102.5p IMO.

BearBull's suggestion of 0.5% proved to be correct and I noted US climbing to about 8791 yesterday. Difficult to say whether it has more in the tank. If so then I expect UK will play catch up and my original assessment of a 13 day rally starting from 3919 (29/10) may still be nearer the mark. However, sticking with a slightly overweight short position as, on balance, think that yesteday's 4192 concluded a 6 day up phase. Expecting a strong rally PM though (0.25% cut) with the 4192 being (unsuccessfully) challenged but a drop away from tomorrow. Getting ready to short HBOS again circa 780p ! RIO may also be attractive if it gets to 1290p. IMHO.

Totally agree with you pkvidean.
Possibility of a .50% cut US which may instil even more worry.

Still see a few pence in HAS though. Think its a bit overdone..

Removed one of my shorts from HAS as the 82.5p resistance looks like confirmation of the temporary 80p bottom. May now rise against the market !

FTSE touched 4192 early doors. To date, that signifies a 6 day mini-rally of 6.97% (from 3919 on 29/10). That looks like it for now (4/6) and tomorrow may see the start of the next down phase (5 days would be my guess totalling 9% taking FTSE to 3815). Backed my decision with a switch to overweight short @ 53.6%. Missed the HBOS short gift @ 780p as too busy cashing Long profits. Got a bit of it @ 743.5p yesterday which should still result in much Gold ! AVZ now registered 77.4% on Phase 1 - the 20%+ retracement can only be a matter of time especially if US gets disappointed with 0.25% rate reduction which should be the main catalyst for the down phase. IMHO.

US extends its up phase to 17 days - 7177 to circa 8716 (21.4% from 10/10 low) today !

Today was Day 4 of UK's current up phase reaching 4143 thus far (5.7% from 3919 on 29/10). 4197 (18/10) still needs to be taken before bullish trend can be confirmed although I consider 5% enough for a discrete switch of direction so even if US continues to weaken (now circa 8604) and brings us down the Phase can be registered ! Hopefully there is more in the tank especially as we are seriously lagging behind US performance !

Apologies to HAS holders but not that interested for now !
