And what's the betting the deferred shares would be cancelled at a later date, thus shafting shareholders.Lemmings and mushrooms only.

Not just a raise but a "capital reorganisation"."Shareholders will be asked to approve a capital reorganisation under which each Existing Ordinary Share will be subdivided into one ordinary shares of 0.1 pence each and one deferred shares of 1.9 pence each."

I've dipped a toe in. I think they have some very interesting products and an impressive list of partners or companies they are working with. BASF and Petronas to name two. It's just whether they can start to scale up and start earning meaningful revenue. The market clearly thinks not a present. A punt for me.

Ive been watching this company for a while - but havent dipped in. There must be some very sore long-standing shareholders. Any indications of change?

Sadly as I have said before....Good news on collaborations are not strong enough...Real revenues are what is needed. This company has been posting about collaborations for years but are yet to convert into meaningful revenue streams..hence share price where it is

Another great announcement.

One month on, almost, since my last post and the share price continues to languish around the 1p mark giving a market cap of less than GBP10m.

Petronas is regarded as the strongest oil & gas brand in the world - for the third year running - and it has chosen to work with Haydale to improve its image with useful 'green' by-products from the oil and gas industry. It is my belief that this announcement makes the IP value of HD Plas worth a fair multiple of the current share price.

A good announcement this morning; the relationship with Cadent is becoming quite serious. The system works, obviously, and Cadent would seem to be in the process of tying-up all forms of home or work-space heating.

After all, Cadent is a gas distributor, with 13m customers, but it is designing systems to heat homes efficiently in the event of failure in the gas supply (or Government induced folly). Evenly dispersed graphene can convert non-conductive into electricity conductive material so the potential here is huge; a house fitted with solar-panels could heat itself and, if Governments were capable of joined-up thinking, all new houses would be required by law to be built with sufficient panels to achieve exactly that, and more.

Graphene, per se, is just another form of carbon; it is only when functionalised to achieve even distribution that it brings remarkable properties to its host material, such as increased tensile strength or heat and electical conductivity. Funhctionalisation can be achieved in more ways than one; most use chemicals to treat the graphene - the wet processes, but Haydale's process uses a plasma reactor in its HDPlas Plasma Enhancement and Functionalisation Service, a dry process which has treated more than 250 different materials.

Z1CO on 24 Feb this year I stated there would be sellers at 2p. You then proceeded to libel me on numerous occasions but guess what....I was right! That'll be why you have gone quiet...Guess you not such a good stock picker as you think you are....!

I have been out of HAYD for a year plus but I thought of them when as a holder of Costain, I read this on their thread this evening.
I seem to remember that HAYD were looking at cement so was interested in the reference to graphene.
I appreciate I may have the wrong end of the stivk

Dr Ioannis Brilakis, Laing O'Rourke Reader in Construction Engineering, will lead the project titled Digital Roads, which aims to improve the cost, time, quality, safety, sustainability, and resilience performance of expressways. Co-investigators Dr Fumiya Iida, Professor Abir Al-Tabbaa and Professor Mark Girolami will join him. The Cambridge engineers will work in partnership with Highways England and construction and engineering company Costain.

The vision is to deliver roads made out of smart materials that can measure and monitor their own performance over time. The researchers will use graphene infused concrete coatings to enable self-sensing on both the road surface and the median barrier, informing the road's Digital Twin through robotic monitoring. These self-sensing and self-healing materials, along with a wide range of measured data, will inform the data-science enabled digital processes, resulting in making better design, construction, maintenance, and operation predictions. This will make roads considerably less expensive, more reliable, and safer, allowing highways agencies and councils to identify when repair work is needed."

I have just been looking at the new FD's profile on Linked-In and I was impressed with Patrick Carter's CV. It seems to me that he had planned his career by the time he went up to Sheffield to read law. After achieving an Honours degree, he went immediately to The Inns of Court Law School where he qualified as a Barrister after 2 years and then moved on swiftly to Deloittes for four years of further training as a Chartered Accountant, qualifying in 1997. After a further 4 years auditing clients such as BAA plc and Serco Plc. 2001 he was appointed Group Finance Director Aukett Fitzroy Robinson Plc followed 6 years later by nearly six years as CFO of Charteris plc. Since which time he has worked for Shire Oak International (a private equity company in the renewable energy sector) serving as CFO for the last 4 years.

Patrick will have conducted his own due diligence, looking at the books, before accepting the new appointment with Haydale and has satisfied himself that the company is not in the state that the recent share-price performance suggests.

As the saying goes: 'if it's good enough for him, its good enough for me'.

Good catch on that one knownowt and £24M in grants announced already. Hayd wouldn't need a great proportion of that for it to be co. enhancing either.
Interesting imo.

Today's announcement is confirmation of my suspicions in my post above (1894).

What I find exciting is the presence of Ford in this evaluation, I am not a believer in EVs as the solution to the limitation of climate change; for social travelling, maybe, but for commercial use there are severe limitations - mainly weight and charging times. Viritech knows that its system works and now has the chance to prove it to one of the largest vehicle manufacturers in the world.
