Reality is that everything we need or use has to be either grown or dug up. HMI appears to cover both bases at a considerable operational margin.

Pity about the high (c. 34%) tax rates in Brazil, but at least the authorities recently reduced royalties for in-country fertilizer suppliers from 3% to 0.2% to encourage new investment.

If they get their full mining concession then revenue growth looks outstanding.

Kreature, you keep referring to rock dust. What do you think is the wrong with rock dust? How is the majority of Potash mined? Is it not an ore which is crushed? Plenty of farmers are screaming out for rock dust with the right levels of KCI, NACL etc. Get a grip and try to understand the product. It’s a remineraliser which can help plants to grow by providing the nutrients they need. It also has the benefit of rebalancing the soil pH and doesn’t pollute the rivers. It organic. What’s not to like about rock dust?

So they don't produce any fertiliser, yet they call themselves a "NATURAL FERTILISER PRODUCER" ? Is there some difficulty referring to the dust as 'rockdust' ? That is what it is.

Is there some difficulty in releasing an up-to-date photo of the rom pad with new shed and plastic covers etc ?

harvestminerals,

A warrant conversion could occur at any time, so they would argue it wasn't a placing or fund raising!

Else why issue the warrants in the first place?

Interestingly the price is back at the warrant price pf 14p.

Someone dumping at 13.70, must have been a memorable event yesterday ?

John Henry - it is too. We could go for a playground argument or agree to differ. JakNife, it’s always been a remineraliser which is why it’s $60 per tonne. It will replace fertiliser as part of a balanced application, saving the farmers a significant amount whilst giving them scope for an Organic label. The fact that Mark stood there and officially stated they don’t need funding should be good enough for you. Bwtfdik

JaKnife,

Look at this news release:

This was, effectively, a discounted placing, and more warrants were issued at 14p value. Technically if these warrants are excersised, they are not "raising money"!

Please note from the presentation on the HMI website that the p:e of peers range upwards from 13. Work out the share price for 400kt at $50 profit with a p:e of 13. You end up with $260million.
From last night, MAPA is coming this quarter. No dilution and no fundraising.
But let’s say 150million shares in issue... $1.73 per share. That’s in line with the lowest valued peer in the market. You can double that for an average valuation

Thanks - overall some positive notes but it seems from this article, delays would be expected for large scale use of rock dust. Interesting to note 2 other 'large scale producers' wherever they are based...

Hardly surprising. It is dust (rockdust, 'po de rocha'). Does anyone anywhere in the world use it on their crops in place of a traditional fertiliser ?
