12/10/2022 17:06 | Kicking myself for not exiting at 920p only 8 days ago wtf was I thinking. Massive hit since then | ![]() privileged
12/10/2022 16:36 | Yes, you're certainly right so far Porsche1945 and this Gov do seem clueless which is scary given the situation the UK is now in. Bailey didn't have teeth at the FCA and has so far been pretty useless at the BoE too. We're now under £8 pretty fast, so a test of 760p could come any day! | ![]() ochs
12/10/2022 14:16 | It’ll get back to 760 and maybe a lot less, got a feeling the U.K. is “ going through the hoop “. It’s sterling denominated assets are being treated like a basket case emerging market country. I actually think the U.K. is in for more of a kicking now than in 08/2014 period, I mean the government and boe was shxt back then but what we have now is miles worse and brexit fallout on top and total sterling collapse I think this is more scary. Just sit in usd cash pick up the interest and wait for it all to get decimated and buy when there’s blood in the streets, I have a war chest of 600k to deploy and I reckon if I get my timing about right can double it over 18 months. What I would steer clear of completely is builders and banks and now pension companies/insurers, that story still to unfold. People getting tempted by dividends but good luck with that. | ![]() porsche1945
11/10/2022 14:22 | I'm not sure it'll go as low as 760p again due to interest rises and prospects of more. Although if markets keep dropping it could go under £8 due to falling AUM. | ![]() ochs
11/10/2022 13:47 | Heading back to the 7’s. AUM will be evaporating as U.K. asset prices are decimated. Will buy back in sub 7.60 seems to be a good trade for a 15pc quick pop. | ![]() porsche1945
04/10/2022 18:11 | This explains today's big rises for HL & AJB, broker upgrade www.sharecast.com/ne | ![]() ochs
04/10/2022 16:04 | Sold out with this rally, like the company but anyway made a good profit, price too eratic for my blood pressure, market dip has created opportunities elsewhere. | ![]() giltedge1
04/10/2022 10:06 | What a difference a day makes?, yesterday all down, today bubbling up. Looking for £10. | ![]() giltedge1
29/9/2022 11:00 | As soon as truss and Kwarsi resign market should recover, brexit fiasco linked strongly to this, majority of people desperate to have a different government, have heard Tories described as a death-wish cult. Something will have to give pretty quickly tho. Some of the pension companies looking in serious trouble. | ![]() porsche1945
29/9/2022 10:03 | HL should be a beneficiary of volatile markets, no debts, low costs, net cash, investors churning portfolio with market turmoil, & HL Investors conservative lot hold a lot of cash (as I do, getting Nil interest) May make 3% on Billions cash holdings this year, & Investors hold a lot of USD investments, when converted to GBP not down much. Can't imagine investors will want to change brokers at the moment. | ![]() giltedge1
28/9/2022 14:32 | Why has this fallen off a cliff today. Was holding up ok earlier | ![]() privileged
27/9/2022 19:49 | Do I buy more now or wait for the real crash. Pound looks to be on the tank again this evening | ![]() thomstar
27/9/2022 19:45 | Yes, the higher base rates climb, the better the 'profit' HL will make on the £millions of cash that clients hold. Additionally it ought to be good news for asset gathering in their Active Savings service which they need to push much harder! | ![]() ochs
27/9/2022 16:49 | I think it's the interest on client cash balances - they will be receiving more on the consolidated sums in the hundreds of millions, but paying much the same (i.e. sod all). Basically acting like a bank and expanding the margin differential. | ![]() imastu pidgitaswell
27/9/2022 16:09 | Hi Genuine question: Why do rising rates help the share price? Thanks. | ![]() hawaly
27/9/2022 15:09 | The prospect of 5.5% interest rates in the UK has certainly given HL shares a boost in recent days. We're now back to the price we were before xd, despite the falling markets. How much higher can we go? | ![]() ochs
22/9/2022 15:48 | It's still up a net +20p in last 2 days given market falls that's OK. Interest rates will help again, energy price fixes will mean people won't be stopping pension contributions or withdrawing funds in my opinion so still net inflows with higher margins. Still feels historically very cheap at £8 something and should be a double digit share price. But historically it was valued too highly of course. | ![]() privileged
22/9/2022 12:05 | Another 0.5% base rate increase, every little helps... | ![]() lomax99
22/9/2022 11:54 | Down as expected, although 49p means that market movements are accounting for quite a bit as technically it should only be 27.44p. Could we see the shares drift lower for the next few months? Will the interest rate rise due to be announced at 12 noon help? | ![]() ochs
21/9/2022 18:16 | I'd imagine so :) topped up a lot yesterday | ![]() privileged
21/9/2022 15:51 | Nice rise, I'm guessing a mixture of shorts closing and long term holders getting in before xd at 4:30 tonight. | ![]() ochs
21/9/2022 09:08 | XD tomorrow, 27.44p. | ![]() lomax99
15/9/2022 12:19 | Site down. Call them to deal | ![]() action |
