12/12/2007 09:30 | My view is that there will be a rights issue but it should be seen as a good thing. This is not some cowboy, fly by night management team that will fleece the small shareholders. They will make sure the business is attractive to institutional investors and have the whole process underwriten by them. Maybe a share consolidation of say 5:1 will follow setting a platform for well financed and huge future growth. Small investors may be given the chance to take up the rights issue and I certainly will if its offered. Look at the progress in the last year and think what could happen in the next 12 months. All IMHO of course. | boscolane
12/12/2007 09:13 | Do you still think a right issue will be required? I dont feel this will be the case for some time. Perhaps when the company is making small profits they may try to get some institutional investors on board and then speed up the store rollout. Until we see the impact of the renogotiated deal on the bottom line its very much guess work. | pictureframe
10/12/2007 12:17 | pf Indeed, it looks a damn sight better than a year ago!! As an aside, have you included taking up the probable rights issue in your 15p? | ![]() ladybird1
08/12/2007 14:08 | Thanks for the info. Another positive is the mms seem to be happy to take small sell without moving the shareprice down. This was notorious for moving big percentage points down on tiny selling action. My belief is its almost at breakeven now and profits are not far away at all. Once we get the first profit announcement this share will fly imho. I own 1 million shares in this now and I am looking for at least 15p before I consider selling any. | pictureframe
07/12/2007 15:55 | I had a brainwave today. Instead of searching the web or asking other posters for information I decided to ring the company myself to find out about the new stores. I can officially confirm both Chester and Fulham in London are now OPEN. That means HRD now has three shops outside Saville Row. There WILL be a trading update in the new year and expectations are good despite the credit squeeze. A friend of mine lives near Saville Row and he says trade appears to be going extremely well at the head office. I also got a sense that the company PR machine was about to start moving again. | boscolane
06/12/2007 17:18 | Found this from a poster on another financial site bulletin board. Pretty good analysis of the new management i reckon. 'Arev are in effect a private equity house that specialise in retail. They own Jones the Bootmaker, Duchamp, Cruise, Mountain Warehouse,Bloomin' Marvellous and I think some things abroad. HA is the only one listed I see it as a great way to get in on a private equity fund, hopefully with a private equity style return. Just look at the millions P Green made through Arcadia, how muchwas made by the PE boys on Debenhams etc At the AGM Arev said they wanted to take the smaller investors along for the ride and I believed them The only other similar PE style stock I have is Renold and that has done very well over the past year You cant deny that the PE boys know how to max the value of a company'. | boscolane
06/12/2007 09:59 | The MMs know this will move very quickly when the full recovery picture is revealed further. Lets face it, three new UK shops, the chinese project, the japanese contract, general cost cutting by an extremely effective new management, this is only going one way. The MMs dont want to be caught with their pants down so are keeping the spread at an almost untradeable level. Having said that 3p is still very cheap and i notice someone picked up 160000 the other day. | boscolane
06/12/2007 07:53 | I will buy if the mm's narrow the spread. | ![]() boraki

04/12/2007 20:09 | Im fearing talking to myself !! but who would like to see a picture of the inside of the new Hardy Amies shop in Edinburgh. Here it is: Very impressive ! | boscolane
28/11/2007 15:14 | I haven't heard a thing picture but I suppose any news would come from the company. My guess is that getting the money back (if he is guilty mu lud) will need a judicial process followed by a claim for repayment which could mean him selling his house etc. So the company will be waiting a fair time for their money back. Having said that once the alleged fraud was discovered the bottom line suddenly looked alot better. That, together with the japanese deal, Edinburgh and China makes HRD look very exciting. By the way if you click the hot stocks box on advfn, HRD is the only share with a 100% buy recommendation. Doesn't mean a greatr deal but shows there is punter confidence out there. | boscolane
28/11/2007 08:31 | Anyone know how the co is getting on with the recovery £££ from the old FD? | pictureframe
22/11/2007 18:07 | Thanks, bungler, a very nice little article. That & the store opening beautifully timed for Xmas. Bated breath in January to see how Edinburgh & London got on in the spending season. | ![]() ladybird1 |
