05/12/2012 14:58 | "I will put money on it " go short then! | aaaaar
05/12/2012 14:42 | Tim I will put money on it they will have a placing at 1p ish, so why buy in the market, they could buy at the placing. | chestnuts
05/12/2012 14:34 | Most of us need the money from the 2p shares to buy back at 1.6p. AR can buy in the market too and it makes me wonder why they did not buy more at this price in the first place had they been available. Will be interesting to see how it all pans out when the dust settles after Xmas. | timgw
05/12/2012 14:27 | Troc Do your numbers again as you wont increase your amount of shares by 60% | chestnuts
05/12/2012 11:05 | Smart, Troc. | almost
04/12/2012 18:07 | Dont know how HMB share price will pan out in future. African Resources must believe that 2p is a fair price to pay. Like them and Chip, I believe that HMB has upside potential. Consequently I decided to "assign" 60% of my shares @ 2p, wait until the deal was "unconditional" (which according to recent RNS' it now is), then buy back an equivalent number to my "assigned" shares in the market at a price substantially lower than 2p. (i.e. avg 1.67p) Obviously there are risks that the deal falls through and all "assigned" shares revert back to their original owners. I will thus have increased my shareholding by 60%. Overall a gamble worth taking IMO. Comments? Troc | troc1958
04/12/2012 18:07 | That is what makes a market. I can remember buying fresh mushrooms @ 50p/punnet if my timing was right, and selling them on for £1.50. Some sell too cheap and some pay over the odds. seq | sequoia
04/12/2012 17:46 | Those staying for the long term seem to have missed a trick. Namely selling all for 2p and buying back at 1.7p (or just selling and going). Can't see +2p for a while. | 1nf3rn0
04/12/2012 16:53 | Indeed we don't. Too busy holding our breath. | almost
04/12/2012 16:47 | those that have stayed for the long term don't have anything to say on a day by day basis | phillis
04/12/2012 15:43 | Unlikely, nuts, in view of total silence on this BB. My feeling is that most PIs have done a bunk with their 2p. | almost
03/12/2012 16:03 | Boadicia What people dont know yet is as the instutions bailed out, some may of, and so the vast majority of shares left over will be held by small shareholders. | chestnuts
03/12/2012 14:44 | Total acquired is 59.884%. As there seems to be no way the figure could be that high without including the offered excesses I think we can assume that there is no downscaling to be applied to any shares meeting the 30th Nov deadline. Cash expected on or about 13 Dec. (See Griffin, post 16665.) | boadicea
03/12/2012 10:22 | Anybody got any news on scale back here yet? (Nothing in my dealing account yet). | grbaker
02/12/2012 10:47 | Ah, apologies, missed that. | dofmeister
02/12/2012 10:33 | % for already announced -95.086% | loppylugs
02/12/2012 08:33 | The offer is noy yet unconditional - they still have to announce they have received over 50% of votes cast FOR. I would have thought this could have been issued last week, but they have until 7th Dec | dofmeister
30/11/2012 16:16 | Yes, that is the way I read it. They have managed to acquire 59.884% in total. So as they are still below 60% I cannot see why anyone should be scaled down. | chipperfrd
30/11/2012 16:09 | I assume it means that all tendered shares were accepted as there is no mention of downscaling. | boadicea
30/11/2012 16:01 | All done and dusted. Now let's see what the next year or two have in store! | chipperfrd
30/11/2012 14:40 | News in an hour or so I guess? | aaaaar
28/11/2012 19:45 | Boadicea, cheers for the info, they told me should get my money around 13th Dec | griffin4
28/11/2012 16:19 | Griffin - One can never be sure and bb's are not the place to get qualified advice (for what that's worth!). However, that makes two of us and at least we now know where we stand. Money on 6th Dec according to one poster above. GL. PS: Your acceptance may possibly get scaled down on 40% of your shares. Rtaher annoying if this leaves one with a minuscule rump. | boadicea
28/11/2012 11:27 | I've just finished speaking with my broker, and I still had the option to do do whatever I liked,so I have decided to accept the offer for 2p for all of my shares, My broker is Charles Stanley Not sure if I have done the right thing, but all seems a little complicated for me.
