Some years ago you may recall the Chairman stating the 3 major parts of Halma were likely to be each valued as the whole share price at the time. Perhaps Mr Market is now getting to grips with true value of Halma - at long last - and maybe, just maybe we'll see £30 within the next 2 years.

EJ, they certainly are today! I sold 50% of my holding at £16, giving me a 5x profit on my initial outlay. The rest? Waiting for the 10x profit in 3 years time when they are trading at £30+.

I do like HLMA. My largest and oldest holding. If I'd put all my PEP into this 20-odd years ago ...

Sssshhhh! Don't wake the baby! Halma has been my most consistent performer over the last 9 years or so, a real stalwart share. Made good acquisitions over the period, ever rising dividend, focused and sound management, and a company that produces what it promises. A*

There isn't much momentum on this discussion board, that's for sure! Any idea why it's so quiet on here? This has to be one of the best companies in the UK and yet hardly anyone seems to take any notice of it?!

I certainly hope so hope so and maybe even sooner than later given the momentum that built up so far this month.

Halma was cut to 'hold' from 'buy' at Shore Capital.....on valuation grounds.

Berenberg initiated coverage, target price £15.70; that'd be nice. HLMA (the share) is *so* boring, if only I had more like it, more divi would be nice though.

Hello Gentlemen. I see the share price rising here along with profits and revenues. Yet the mcap is aprox 24 times predicted Profit Before Tax for this year (@212m). Therefore, not cheap on those terms. Is it more the fact that the market likes this share ?

15% for me. Can't bring myself to sell, if there was ever a dead cert this seems like it to me. (And yes I am aware of the dangers in that attitude.) Look how dead this board is. Solid, reliable and boring; that's how I like 'em.
