14/9/2017 10:27 | Good observation CM re 50:50. Dividend is not being paid out of operating cash flow, although argument is that investing for future growth, with top line impressive, and W Cup 2018 a positive. A lot of investment clearly being made in partypoker too. | mnomis
14/9/2017 10:24 | Saying the above, I do see 3/5 analysts that have updated research today have increased price target (1 does not provide a price target), with Investec going from 820p to 930p and Numis from 975 to 985p. | mnomis
14/9/2017 10:20 | Mmmmm... Well I predicted a 16c divi. Call me an analyst but that was pretty close. However... That 16.5c is now 50% of the expected dividend, not 40% so the expected dividend is now only 33c, not 41c. Quite a difference and not good. We got 30c in 2016 so a prospective 33c is low. At current share price and exchange rate that puts GVC on a yield of around 3.6% (very roughly). I think thats probably about right for the market so lets hope there are big developments in 2018 to get the share price much higher. (Maybe a world cup?). Having said that, the underlying business looks like it's doing well. A very decent set of results and given growth over the next year we might hope for a bigger dividend than predicted. 14/9/2017 10:17 | Good results, not great (read release from start to finish, but will have to go through presentation later). I think diviincomeresearch made some good points. GVC have certainly "bought" some growth, reflected in cash flow / statutory accounts. Strong top-line means on balance happy, but will be happy to see them fully bedding down the bwin acquisition over rest of year before embarking on the next big one. | mnomis
14/9/2017 10:16 | Nice if Sterling were to fall before they do the conversion from Euros. Down a bit today, just needs to continue. SP holding steady around 830p. Be interesting to see what happens when New York opens up this afternoon. | mylands
14/9/2017 09:37 | BTW on the last 2 results days - the share price has risen an average of approx 6.5% from prev close to high (close). On that metric - we should have some way to go today - maybe 850p+. However, this time we have the additional carrot of a soon come 14p+ divi too.... so will that take us to Festy's 860p today or tomorrow? | woodhawk
14/9/2017 09:33 | macarona - from today's interims... "An interim dividend of 16.5€c per share has been declared and will be paid on 19 October 2017. The interim dividend declared is expected to represent 50% of the aggregate full year payout..." | speedsgh
14/9/2017 09:30 | Don't forget - Ex Divi is next week 21st Sept. | woodhawk
14/9/2017 09:25 | 50% at Interim 50% at Final as stated in the results today | oniabsta
14/9/2017 09:24 | I can't believe that I was able to buy these at 590p back in February this year, and 730p only last month! Not forgetting of course, the 96p back in 2010, where it all started for me. | festario
14/9/2017 09:11 | Is the 16.5 cents dividends, 40% of their total dividend payment for the year ahead? I recall previously the company stated that it will pay 40% at interim and 60% at year end. Just trying to predict the annual dividend for the reporting period December 2017. Will it be 33 cents or 41 cents? Appreciate any insight. | macarona
14/9/2017 08:59 | I am sure some with big positions on this thread can explain how you go from a trading profit to a statutory loss please? | hillbrown
14/9/2017 08:59 | 888, I reckon. | srpactive
14/9/2017 08:52 | Wow! GVC the stock that keeps on giving! Outperforms market expectation and the wider digital gaming sector. Great to see the move in the SP, could kick on from here too. But could it also be the platform for a renewed bid for LADS/Corals one the triennial review is completed? | brownie69
14/9/2017 08:47 | If that was the case, they still have a long way to go, as MW had a short position totalling 1.19% of the shares in issue, amounting to over 3.5 million. | mylands
14/9/2017 08:36 | I reckon that the early 850p trades were shorts being forced to close, and having to pay through the nose for their foolishness! | festario
14/9/2017 08:19 | Some big sells going through.Hopefully some Shorts. One of 324,568 shares at 840p.But the market absorbing and the share price steady around 840p atm. | garycook
14/9/2017 08:17 | divi You are correct of course, there is always 'froth' on the top when you get figures like these. But what it does show is that the share price is heading north over the next year in a big way. Nothing appears to have been factored in for the World Cup in Russia and the good timing of going live later this year on the Russian site. Can you imagine the results for 2018? | mylands
14/9/2017 08:12 | Mylands- we'll wait and see how it settles out today,I'm just aware we're ramping up the expenditure. They're good results no doubt in terms of revenue growth. | diviincomesearch
14/9/2017 08:10 | Just occurs to me Marshall Wace must be 'pleased' with these figures! | mylands
14/9/2017 08:09 | There's your 840p, Garycook!! | woodhawk
14/9/2017 08:05 | divi So those paying 845p to 855p are paying over the odds, are they? | mylands
14/9/2017 08:01 | Revenues look promising, sports margin under target and another statutory loss. I would rather we consolidating for a year or two before launching off to get another whale. Still I expect another strong opening today and the dividend should please everyone. A move to 830p I reckon. | diviincomesearch
14/9/2017 07:59 | Woody,Think you could right there.Currently up 50p pre market | garycook
14/9/2017 07:57 | Have others seen that a trade of 50k went through at 7.55am at 850p! Another 50k at 850p at 7.58am. | mylands |
