Indeed, we have USA in full swing and next year brings a packed sports calender with Euro 2021 and Tokyo Olympic Games.

Morning all and the excellent posts continue ( not mine ).

It does seem we really are getting a strong foothold on all
we are doing and the results will show through soon enough.

New high soon C and a resumed dividend in 2021 will help
further.

Bwin looks good for footie results across most of European leagues.

Belgium,Italy,Spain (England,Scotland as well) all lead by non-champions.

Juventus,Barca, and Real not firing..whilst Real Sociedad, Inter, Sassulo(3rd) Tottenham, Beerschot, leading the way...

In France PSG have lost as many games already as the whole of last season and Bundasliga 6 points covering the top 6...you would think it has been good and continues so for the bookies...

I certainly agree GVC is undervalued. There is huge potential for a rerating over the next year or more.

srp - I once sat next to a large site MD for lunch and remarked that the ultimate parent company could be in line to be taken over.

He declared that there were rumours to that effect all the time but it never happened.

I said he should look at the volume going through the market and it was way higher than normal - I really thought something was up.

His expression changed when that sunk in - to a look of horror and he rapidly made his exit.

Said company was taken over - we cut costs massively ( but they had previously rejected suggestions) - he left the business and some of the white elephants he had bought - never made a bid for a MBO ....... that he could not possibly have been trying to get off the ground....

I think it will retest the high's although that depends on
the dollar and US interest rates obviously.

Assuming Retail UK and Euro breakeven in terms of EBITDAR for 2020 then Guidance is c800m Ebitda(r) for online...
Not unreasonable for a 1bn£ Ebitda(r) company in this sector to command 10bn£ Valuation, (£17 per share) ..(10 times)...
Fair bet EBITDA will hit £1bn ..24months?...
Factor in ROAR on top...£20 is fair..
IMO its the alternative "safer" bet of Flutter that takes investors away from GVC...but that will change IMO as Flutter becomes more expensive and Shey proves himself...

The valuation of rivals such as Draftkings are off the scale in comparison. We have already taken an 18% market share in US states where we currently operate.

Now the US future is enormous for us and should be valued in

Thats the thing - its POTENTIALLY enormous.

There is a thing called execution risk. This depreciates future value by a risk factor in order to get a current value.

The problem with it is that it is very difficult to quantify. Thats why saying current GVC value 2000p is simply an opinion - which you havent backed up with any analysis.

-Enormous- is not a quantity.

My personal opinion is that if GVC anchieve their stated aim to grow the businiss between 2-3 times in 3-5 years then the share price will be 2-3 times bigger in 3-5 years.

I think I can make the figures stand up to that (amazingly controversial) opinion.

If we have similar clauses in our contract with MGM then , if they want to , they can acquire us at what they would consider a fair price, but in reality it would be very difficult for any other bidder as MGM could elect not to have them as a partner.
I only owned shares in WMH for a few weeks so I cannot complain at my return or exit but longstanding holders felt that the US was sold short & the new owners will sell off surplus assets & be left with the jewel in their crown very cheaply & perhaps the Board .I had a decent holding in BTG Group which I had held for many years following a takeover of Biocompatibles giving me an effective cost of around 60p , but I wasnt happy with the takeover at 840p -not out of greed but the general view at the time is that it was bought cheaply .
Our retail estate will reopen next week & I suspect our next trading update will be very positive , in the US & elsewhere, with dividends resuming next year & I have been here for many years & expect to stay until the end ( either of GVC s independence ....or me ) & I expect our share price to be substantially higher in the next year or 2 - if we can remain independent

No need to apologise I have been called far worse than trumpian.

I appreciate what you say re Turkey / KA.

But the way I make and have made money for thirty plus years is
trying to get the future correct.

Now the US future is enormous for us and should be valued in.

IMHO that is 2000p now, whether I am correct or not we will
see, but I reckon I will be typing here in two years with a
2500p gvc share price or even higher if we spin off Roar.

Srp.Sorry for getting a bit wound up - I like to see reasoned argument backed by solid facts.Your contributions here are appreciated.Btw If you look at P/E ratios etc, GVC has been undervalued for years against its peers. Turkey/unregulated business was a big reason for that previously. KA as a bit of a rebel possibly another.Hopefully there will be a rerating as the new squeaky clean GVC continues to realise its potential.
