Eilers and Krejcik Gaming Research analyst Chris Grove said a “healthy debate” could take place in comparisons of New Jersey’s growing online gaming market with Nevada’s online casino potential.

“It’s evident to us that the introduction of online casino would have an additive impact on the total amount of gambling revenue generated by the Nevada locals market,” Grove said.

If 2021 produces 1bn in iGaming from NJ.. Not betting against Michigan and Penn do likewise within 24 months.. 25% share of that 3 state igaming market alone and BETMGM will deliver 750m ngr.. 200/250? ebitda.. Roar may well be worth more than GVC is today in pretty short order..

NJ iGaming revenue was $93.5m, above Sept $88m/Aug $88m/July $87.5m/June $85m/May $86m, while y/y growth of 107% was only slightly below Sept 113%/Aug 114%/May-July 123-124%. Revenue is now run rating $1.1B on an annual basis vs. our 2020/2021 market estimates of $954m/$1,002m. We had expected strong growth from stay-at-home tailwinds but saw risk of more significant deceleration due to improving physical casino traffic driving churn of March-Sept sign-ups, though colder weather may be supportive. NJ iGaming revenue is now $779m YTD, up 103% y/y, and $878m TTM, up 99% y/y. Market shares were relatively similar m/m. Golden Nugget (incl. FanDuel) had leading 30% share vs. Sept 30%/Aug 32%/July 36%/June 34%, followed by BetMGM 24% vs. Sept 23%/Aug 23%/July 17%/June 20%, Resorts (incl DKNG) had 23% vs. Sept 23%/Aug 20%/July 21%/June 20%. Caesars had 9% share vs. Sept 10%/Aug 11%/July 11%/June 10%, Tropicana 8% vs. 7% each of Sept/Aug/July/June, and Hard Rock 6% vs. Sept 7%/Aug 7%/July 6%/June 7%. We continue to believe the economic impact of COVID-19 coupled with strong recent iGaming results in both NJ and PA should spur more states to legalize, though have seen more momentum for sports betting.
