Could the discussion in Erbil be whether the KRG would honor the owed backpayments to the IOC's? - just a thought that crossed my mind...


I lived with a Jordanian, UAE and Kuwaiti one year at university many years ago- for them honor was a very big thing hence the use of the word in the previous statement.

Back payments would be a bonus. I would love it to happen but I would trade them for regular on time payments and an agreed contract.

There is one thing that does spring to mind in regard to transfer - backpayments! could be a sticking point! again would need to be clarified by lawyers....

I'll explain again, the Kurdish oil wasn't top quality and it was at a huge discount to Brent. The oil coming up from Kirkuk is quality and Baghdad are trying to achieve a top quality blend in order to get top dollar.

I believe there is only one producer in Kurdistan that matches that quality. So anything else that gets added to the mix will make it less value.

What was it you were saying about "its nice to have an adult conversation"?

whats really 151 million bucks to a government in the great scheme of things?? UK has printed that in a day in recent years if you have a central bank and independent currency :) call me cynical..

What was meant to have been agreed was the Paris judgement payments... anyone know anything in regard to that???
