24/4/2024 15:24 | Queen lemming sarah, yes I've read it, your point being? Erbil are effectively a side show now. Baghdad/SOMO have taken control and even the most blinkered and in denial gullible sucker should understand that. They have zero leverage. They've even admitted that by stating the problem lays between Apikur and Baghdad. Distancing themselves in order not to receive any blame as I said months ago. Baghdad want 400k a day for 12.6% of the Iraq budget. They want details of all the people that exist. They want to pay it into bank accounts that are legitimate. They want to cut down on all the other mouths that have been troughing for years. They want to count the barrels being exported and get the revenue for said barrels. | bigdog5

24/4/2024 15:10 | "If they push this and end up getting sued for compensation ( which is looking more likely) then they can kiss goodbye to MOU and US Investment. No one will touch them". So producers who contribute 400k a day (or did) would take on one of the most important members of Opec+ who are able to ramp up production to 6m a day via litigation, lol. And if Apikur after several years of waiting for the Courts to opine were able to receive a decision in their favour (most unlikely as the oil is for all of Iraq isn't it) how many years do you think Baghdad would make them wait for any monies? I believe it would be extremely unwise for Apikur to take that route. Would you expect Baghdad to continue to pay Erbil the 12.6% budget whilst waiting for a decision? So how would they survive? Doesn't that suggest that even Erbil would advise against it? The Yanks are not taking sides and have stated countless times they aren't but say they hope and expect Baghdad and Erbil will resolve their issues. The Yanks it would seem judging by the various MOU's that have been aired recently take a different view. Then of course there are the Chinese who have plenty of money. Just saying like. | bigdog5
24/4/2024 14:53 | Meanwhile in 3 days time Iraq are supposed to be opening a new oil licensing round. Who is going to take it up?Is it going to be a damp squib like the previous one? They really will have an extremely large egg on their face if so. https://www.mees.com | shortsqueezer
24/4/2024 14:49 | Monday night's statement fron the MNR was completely damning and went right to the heart of the matter, the Constitution, the Kurdish O&G Law, the legallity of the PSCs, the illegality of the so called Supreme Court, the illegality and corruption of the Federal O&G industry and the implicit threat of the International Courts. That statement really put the Federal Government on the spot because it was all true and they know it.Their response so far is very telling, SILENCE.They are desperate that all that doesn't get aired, they don't want to go there, the last thing they can afford is arbitration. They've painted themselves into a corner and they have no defence.President Barzani was last in Baghdad only a couple of weeks or so ago so why is he going back already. What's so urgent that Malaki and the Coordination Framework need to talk to him about already that needs a face to face meeting.Time will tell.Rudaw - President Barzani to visit Baghdad soon: Spox.ERBIL, Kurdistan Region - Kurdistan Region President Nechirvan Barzani is set to visit Baghdad soon, where he will attend a meeting of the Iraqi ruling coalition, the presidencyâs spokesperson said on Wednesday.Dilshad Shahab, the spokesperson for the Kurdistan Region presidency, told journalists in Erbil that President Barzani will visit Baghdad soon, noting that he will attend a meeting of the Shiite-led State Administration Coalition. | gkpbanggone

24/4/2024 14:47 | It would appear that Queen lemming sarah has overlooked in her rantings the corruptness that Baghdad/SOMO are endeavouring get rid of/cut down on. I would have thought that it would be something that all oil producers out there including Apikur would be in favour of. Perhaps its slipped her mind that its been mentioned in numerous articles of how bad the situation is. The post number sarah? Just so I can examine the context as its been made extremely clear over the years that context doesn't apply to you gullible suckers when trying to shift arguments to your agendas. | bigdog5
24/4/2024 14:41 | "the corruptness that Baghdad/SOMO are endeavouring get rid of/cut down on. I would have thought that it would be something that all oil producers out there including Apikur would be in favour of." Talking of corruption Sarah here's the latest statement on the subject from yesterday:- "It is also revealing that the parliament of the FGI, unlike the parliament of the KRG, has still not passed an oil and gas law that is consistent with the 2005 Constitution. Indeed, the FGI has been unable, or unwilling, to pass any oil and gas legislation at all. The FGI oil sector is thus shrouded in a fog of corruption, over-centralisation and illegitimacy, seeking to rely in the meantime on the antiquated proclamations from the office of Saddam Hussein. The fact is that no federal Iraqi institution, “court” or otherwise, has the authority to invalidate the 2005 Constitution and invalidate KRG law." But while you're here Sarah, 8 years ago you told us that all this was being addressed and everything was being sorted:- "We won't run out of cash. Plus, POO rising, grip on the war, CPR/FDP's going to be addressed. The problems of the past are being addressed." So what happened. | habshan
