29/1/2023 22:14 | Seems unlikely the KRG are supplying/selling 400 - 500k bpd and not receiving the large revenues that generates otherwise someone is receiving that oil for free? Unless it is for money already received (forward sold) and spent by KRG in which case we're back to the financial pickle. Think problem with 250k bpd deal with ICG is they tried that before and never received the 12 or 17 % of budget from central gov. | hangthedj
29/1/2023 21:50 | Payments from Baghdad have been stopped. Just the few hundred million or will it be more? Then, will the Kurds be forced back to trucking oil cos they will be prevented from using the pipeline for their "smuggled oil". That guy from Basra made some excellent points in their protestations however it rather shone a very bright light on Erbil's statements of the oil is for "all of Iraq" when clearly Erbil believe they should get 12% of the Iraq budget but aren't prepared to provide Baghdad with the 250k a day barrels they agreed to. So any chance of an oil law in the foreseeable aint gonna happen. Then there's the issues with Turkey and the "smuggled oil" and the almost certain ruling that the Court have sided with Baghdad as was expected. So what will Baghdad insist on getting for that:-) Erbil have lost Trafigura who helped them out with loans for oil. Payments looking very doubtful from Baghdad. The noose is tightening innit. Then there's the Kurdish blend already affecting receivables. What are the other terms that will favour the hosts? Get all the morons ready to turn the hype and spin machines on:-) As for h7's ludicrous mention of the Yanks wanting their sludge just because they've built a big embassy there, lol. How does that moron keep doing it and getting everything wrong????? Its been built as its strategically placed to keep watch over an enormously unstable area. They learnt their lesson when it required "someone else" to warn them about Isis were on the way years ago. As for h7's views on Europe needing the Kurds oil its another belter. Halford's already has more available should it be required. SP would be over the top at 1.5p. Could your biggest brains on the planet be about to depart like the companies have from the last great frontier? You're welcome delusional suckers:-) | bigdog5
29/1/2023 21:06 | Don't know about rolling over or who's getting the better of who politically but it does appear that the KRG are in some sort of financial pickle and that's not good for those waiting to be paid by them for work done. Suppose we're grateful to be paid for Aug production but GENL not paid yet, not sure about HKN and SNM only partial payment. Even if KRG pay that tomorrow they're still at the very least a month behind again. Personally I feel another payment plan coming on. | hangthedj

29/1/2023 19:24 | "Well, the KRG probably don't have to "roll over" - Bahgdad will do it for them, roll them over that is." Hehehe. Like your friend Bigdog you don't have a feel for this do you Broadford. People from the Ottoman Empire to the Gulf Arabs and others have been trying to "roll over" the Kurds for a thousand years without success. There's never been a period in that thousand years when somebody hasn't been trying to give them a hard time. The Kurds aren't as easy to "roll over" as you obviously think they are. And never before have they had sush powerful friends as they have now, and they've got something that those powerful friends badly need. | habshan

29/1/2023 18:20 | Well, the KRG probably don't have to "roll over" - Bahgdad will do it for them, roll them over that is. Nouri and his CF have already said "Forget It". The export terminal is very vulnerable, as is the Khor Mor gas field. The US and an unnamed ally said to be behind the missile / drone attack on Isfahan military facilities. 29/1/2023 15:34 | "So where is the oil law that you morons have been posting up has been agreed?" Well you tell us Sarah. You've been telling us for months that the Kurds were just going to roll over capitulate and give the Arabs in Baghdad EVERYTHING that they want in a deal that would MASSIVELY favour the ICG. So where is it. It hasn't happened has it. Another prediction fallen flat on it's face. You can't get ANYTHING right can you. What an idiot. | habshan

29/1/2023 15:13 | So where is the oil law that you morons have been posting up has been agreed? H7 said it was agreed back in October 2021!!! I said recently that the oil law was as far away as ever and that even the KDP and PUK were having massive issues on agreements between themselves. Both points have been proved as fact as usual. Then there are the payments that have been stopped by the Supreme Court down Baghdad way. As for any oil law are you all ignoring the articles saying its getting ever more difficult for Erbil and any possible agreement? Don't the Kurds keep saying that Iraq's oil is for everyone? So how come they want a portion of the budget but wouldn't provide 250k barrels a day to Baghdad? That's rhetorical btw as the reasons are well known:-) As for the Court ruling between Baghdad and Turkey which is still to be officially announced and you morons here trying to interpret the outcome in "your favour" as per usual (thanks for the laughs) I'll say this, the outcome was always believed by all would be in Baghdad's favour. I would suggest that will mean a lot of horse trading on many other issues to be negotiated in the fullness of time. Smuggled oil and no permission to use the pipeline? I told you morons Baghdad were serious this time:-) I wonder if they will stop the oil leaving the last great frontier as BB has suggested they could? As for the recent payment received by the company and all your "theories" as to why it was a lot less isn't it all about the new terms and the move to the Kurdish blend issues. Also, mixing sludge into "others" quality oil I would reckon isn't going to make the "others" happy. Sludge mixed with 39 API, no wonder the price plummets. I note that Trafigura walking away from the Kurds was effectively dismissed however that will most certainly be more proof of companies departing the last great frontier due to pressure from Baghdad. With all those issues I suppose it wouldn't be timely to mention about the articles that have appeared recently talking about the oil "out there" in retreat. An share price of just under 2p looks way over the top based on the woeful progress and all the knowns and unknowns popping up. I wonder if the Insti's are having a mull? You're very welcome suckers:-) | bigdog5
29/1/2023 14:10 | Good point. The yanks are oviously expecting their interests in Kurdistan to grow otherwise they would never make the investment needed for a new embassy. | highlander7
29/1/2023 13:59 | H7, hence the US embassy in Erbil? | ptmorris1
29/1/2023 10:53 | I see Kurdish Independence coming if they dont agree this time. With support from Turkey. IMO | highlander7
29/1/2023 10:33 | Yes Turkey will have more power, but I also think they have ambitions and see this as an opportunity to raise it's influence. Shaikan et al could be another Saudi so something has to give.I don't see Erbil allowing Baghdad control over this vast potential wealth anytime soon. | fairenough11
29/1/2023 10:22 | I agree Turkey is a player in this GKP saga. The problem then becomes Turkey has the power to shut of gas / oil to Europe and Erdogan is a mate of Putin. Geopolitics yet again. Interesting times. Yes major clash of interests with Sunak managing a Hedge fund while being responsible for decisions that could affect it. I can see an early election coming. | highlander7
29/1/2023 10:20 | If Sunak profited from Moderna,he will be next imo. | fairenough11 |
