Maybe just me but I still get the nagging feeling that the KRG have found themselves short of cash somehow. Hard to believe as they seem to have sold 5 months worth of oil which should generate about $5 billion but only managed to pay out $9 million to SNM so far.

Don't think there was ever a reason given for the payment scheme which had to be set up. Keep thinking we were fortunate price of oil went above $50 fairly quickly otherwise we could still be waiting to collect that debt.

Thats a great find and Todd of course was correct - as he always was. He told the world just how big Shaikan was (21 billion bbls) on a Bloomberg Interview about ten years ago. Shaikan ..the Country maker.

There cant be many of us originals left from 12 years ago and we have earned it.

With such a disatrous past this share seems to under the radar now after the constant controlling of the share price plus all the trolls who have spent years slagging us off - so maybe Todd was right all those years ago when he declared that there would be very few private share holders left at the end - the above sounds like the budget and oil law may be passed very close together and perhaps sooner than we anticipated.

Shafaq News/ Iraq's legislative body awaits a green light from Prime Minister Mohammad Shia al-Sudani to proceed with passing a new hydrocarbons bill for the country, lawmaker Sabah Sobhi said on Monday.

In a statement to Shafaq News Agency, the member of the parliamentary oil and gas committee said, "the hydrocarbons law is an indispensable act. It is a pivot for Mohammad Shia al-Sudani's government program."
"The bill will stem the differences between the federal and regional governments. It is complementary to the political agreement that gave birth to the cabinet," he added.
"The bill mainly relies on Articles 111, 112, and 115 of the constitution to address the disputes between Baghdad and Erbil," he continued.
"We are awaiting a final notification from the cabinet to submit and vote on the budget bill," he concluded.
