Crude oil is no more than a horrible dangerous dirty sticky toxic mess that comes out of the ground Sarah, the reason that people are interested in it is simply because of the money that's to be made from it.

For the sake of argument let's take your figure of 120 million barrels, and your assertion that we're currently producing 45kbpd.

Our last payment was for July which had 31 days in it so that makes 31x45k = 1.395 million barrels. We were paid $57.7 million for those 1.395 million barrels.

Your 120 million barrels divided by 1.395 would mean that there is 86 months worth of oil in Shaikan.

86 months at $57.7 million dollars a month means that at today's prices that oil is worth 4.962 billion dollars.

And that $4.962 billion is based on YOUR numbers Sarah not mine.

You tell us that you're not interested in the massive dividends that the rest of us are being paid.

Now you're telling us that no one is interested in 4.962 billion dollars worth of oil with amongst the lowest lifting costs in the world.

You're an idiot who just doesn't seem to understand that it's all about the money and that money is what makes the world go round Sarah.

Todd blew about £120 Mn on SH 7 as he was going for glory once the Permian had been proved the sale sign was up , Had he gone for slow growth Jurassic production we'd be on 100 K a day by now. Any way all forgiven Todd as SH7 paid for it's self in 6 months , better handling of the cash might have seen off restructuring however.

highlander7 I'm not in any time warp. But you clowns live in a fantasy city.

Kozel said he would be pumping 150k a day by 2014. They managed to achieve 42k a day by December 2014. Eight years on and despite several more wells the latest number is 45k a day. Several more wells and 3k more!!! And you suckers reckon that's success, lol. I keep telling you morons wells are thieving oil from other wells which is why the 55k has been so problematical. Performing to expectations is it, LOL.

They failed with the 40k a day, and they've failed with the planned 55k a day under a new regime. They couldn't find the gas cap under a new regime. Water found in several wells AND where they expected the oil to be under a new regime. They haven't added a single barrel to the Reserves as evidenced by ALL the CPR's despite several new wells under a new regime. Even the "other" zones oil have now been downgraded out of 2P and back into the pointless "might be there we don't have any proof whatsoever resources column".

Do check out the presentations for the Gross 1P numbers and then take 58% of it as that's all they have after the hosts back in for up to 35%. That's success is it???

I'm one of the very few that have called it correct for years, but you know that don't you:-)
