Unfortunately there are many PI's that haven't experienced the "unknown" with other companies and believe that massive divis will be ours within a short time when we're pumping XXX. There's always going to be delays, we know that so that has to be factored in. Then what do these divi maniacs think they're going to get? It wont be massive numbers. Then there's the tax issue and PI's gains are seen as easy targets by the Treasury and will no doubt climb. Then unless you are sitting on millions of shares will that divi after tax get our kids through University, get them on the housing ladder, support their ambitions?

But a sale of the assets would do all these things. Years and years of waiting for the promises with no value from the share price and there's no guarantee there would be to arrive doesn't tick the boxes imho. We may have been able to take the Mull of £8 and two years ago to my mind doesn't look that bad now. Who is to say that if Xom had put down £8 someone wouldn't have topped it? If we assume TK wanted £10 but no one would offer it was that because they thought the assets didn't merit it OR was it the litigation that stopped it?

I'm confident the HNWI don't want other companies shares or divis, they, like a lot of us want sales and real value that only that will give.

Likey, I have long played around with numbers and percentages trying to achieve a scenario whereby we sell a percentage of Shaikan and then applied that to the other assets to see where I think the share price should go to and imho it doesn't work. We just know the market will fekk it around and it wont mirror the assets. How much of the 54% would we have to flog to get £6? And as you say would the share price go to £7-£8 to take account of the other assets? I doubt that. The jam tomorrow brigade are imho being very optimistic in all their wishes. And lets not forget all the "boasts" earlier this year of "when we're pumping 40k a day and have sold the Bir's and we're in the Ftse by October the city can do one" blah fekkin blah. What happened there then?

Sorry for the ramble boys but getting a tad weary of all the promises of shareholder value not arriving.

Its often been said that GKP found too much oil. Looking at what has happened over the past 40 months its a reasonable assessment imo. GKP were fine and looking like a tasty treat as S1-S3 came in, SA1 was a hit and we were getting reasonable news from Akri. Then when S4 hit and the company were bragging how good it was the KRG "took over" and the share price has plummeted since.

Having virtually ruined the company for shareholders I can't but help think that the KRG are reluctant for our assets to change hands.

No consortium needed to take shaiCON, only a couple of hundred million barrels of extremely heavy oil. Then there's the issue of who will want to upset Baghdad and take the Kurdish oil? TSC's on the way? Perhaps that's why the company have been dishing out the big divis cos they realise they won't be able to afford them.

So nothing from harriet highlander7. To be expected as she hasn't got any answers and is just talking her usual BS. As for her "contact" how have they arrived at their ludicrous figure? I can only assume that harriet hasn't mentioned any of the problems the field has because harriet has been in denial about them for years.

I expect harriet has been spouting about all the data from years ago that has been proved a load of garbage and completely irrelevant as evidenced by all the failures and below expectations from all the wells since the first wipeout. Its why the eight year in the coming 55k a day is still 10k at least short.

Word has it that there is already a material decrease in the Kurd oil reaching the various markets. Obviously the blacklisting has started to take effect and will only grow. So already the hosts revenue is falling.

Why would Total be interested in Kurdistan as nestoftotalBS posts? They're in the process of divesting themselves of their percentage in their only licence and departing.

Keep up the BS rampers as you're only conning yourselves.

Since some of you are keen on playing bahbah's "All Our Yesterdays", here's a real beauty by Gramacho (posted at 13:17 on 18th April 2014) in response to the ERC CPR which shocked so many investors.

The post was removed (pressure by company?) but was very kindly reposted by some others - see mortgage freeman's posting at 352333.

Read it, Copy it and Save it - just in case the powers that be decide they still don't like it.

8 Years have now passed and all indications are that Gramacho was more on the ball than BahBah.

I wonder how long it will be before we see the deployment of the French Foreign Legion to mentor the Peshmerga. Mind you the French troops in Mariupol didn't do too well - err, or are we not allowed to mention them?

Shafaq News/ Kurdistan's Prime Minister Masrour Barzani reiterated Erbil's commitment to resolving the outstanding disputes with Baghdad, warning of their repercussions on the stability of Iraq.

Barzani's remarks came during a meeting with the French ambassador to Iraq, Eric Chevallier, in Erbil earlier today, Tuesday.

According to a readout issued by his bureau, PM Barzani discussed with his guest the bilateral ties between Baghdad and Paris and the latest updates on the political situation in Iraq.

The disputes between the federal and regional governments were a major topic of the meeting. The Prime Minister reiterated Erbil's commitment to "dialogue" to come out with a "radical solution" to the outstanding disagreement on the basis of the constitution, warning of the impact of those differences on the security and stability of Iraq as a whole.

The meeting also touched upon the threats of ISIS militants and the role of the Global Coalition's support to the Peshmerga forces in combating those groups.
