Baghdad / NINA / - Minister of Finance Ali Allawi confirmed: "The ministry seeks to submit the new budget to Parliament before the early parliamentary elections scheduled for next October."

He said in a press statement: "The ministry tried in the previous budget to do a similar thing, as it presented the budget in a way that shows officials the size of Iraq's real obligations without paying them in the corners of arrears, so the number was large and was not politically acceptable, so it was modified and the budget was issued in its current form."

Allawi added: "The price of a barrel in the new budget will be 50 dollars, which is an adjustable number."

He explained: "The financial situation of Iraq has improved during the current year due to the rise in the price of oil and the change in the exchange rate of the dinar."

The Minister of Finance indicated: “Iraq is negotiating with the International Monetary Fund on a loan of between 3 to 4 billion dollars,” noting: “This borrowing is of a monetary nature and gives credibility to the reforms that the Ministry wishes to implement, the end of which depends on our current situation and the 2022 budget. If we are able to present it to Parliament before the parliamentary elections.”/ End 3

Baghdad / NINA / - The Chargé d'Affairs of the Japanese Embassy in Iraq, Shu Nakagawa, affirmed the readiness of his country's companies to work and invest.

A statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that the Agency's Head of Asia and Australia Department, Badr Radi Nasser, met at the ministry's headquarters, Chargé d'Affairs of the Japanese Embassy in Iraq Shu Nakagawa, and the two sides affirmed their keenness to develop and consolidate bilateral and economic relations between the two friendly countries.

The head of the department stressed that Iraq is looking forward to building economic partnerships with a number of countries in the world, especially Japan, in order to rebuild and rehabilitate the infrastructure.

For his part, Nakagawa confirmed that his country's companies are ready to work and invest in Iraq. / End 9

Today, Wednesday, the Oil Tankers Company, one of the formations of the Ministry of Oil, confirmed its intention to purchase new tankers to strengthen the oil fleet.

The company's general manager, Ahmed Khazal, told the official agency that "the company is continuing to restore the oil company's fleet to its previous state, with two directions: building new tankers and purchasing other tanks."

He added, "Iraq currently owns 4 government tankers, belonging to the Iraqi Oil Tanker Company."

And the Ministry of Oil announced earlier that (90) million (467) thousand and (794) barrels were exported last July, with revenues of (6) billion (513) million and (792) thousand dollars.
