LOL K4 here is a follow up to that post re the mentality of PI's who would rather listen to Trolls like Macfly/BD5 and BBay than research the "bleedin" obvious.

Saudis raise U.S. and Asian crude prices for April delivery
By ANTHONY DI PAOLA on 3/8/2021

Saudi Aramco refinery

DUBAI (Bloomberg) --Saudi Arabia raised pricing for its crude for shipment to Asia and the U.S. next month after OPEC+ extended oil supply constraints, pointing to a tightening physical market.

The world’s biggest crude exporter is boosting April pricing for crude exports eastwards to the highest levels since just before the Saudis unleashed a brief price and supply war a year ago. After maintaining prices to Asia at an eight-month high for the past two months, the premium for Light crude rose to the highest since March 2020. It suggests the Saudis see demand growth continuing even after Thursday’s shock OPEC+ decision to keep oil supply largely unchanged sent Brent crude higher.

State oil producer Saudi Aramco increased pricing for Arab Light crude for Asia, its largest regional market, by 40 cents a barrel to $1.40 more than the benchmark. Ahead of last week’s OPEC+ surprise, Aramco had been expected to keep pricing for the grade unchanged, according to a Bloomberg survey of traders and refiners.

Shafaq News / Kurdistan region's Prime Minister, Masrour Barzani, supervised a special meeting on the ongoing preparations for drafting the Kurdistan Regional Budget Law for 2021.

During the meeting attended by Deputy Prime Minister Qubad Talabani, the current financial situation in the region and the ongoing preparations for drafting the Kurdistan Region Budget Law for the year 2021 were discussed, as well as the data, expenditures and estimated revenues of the ministries.

A statement issued by the regional government said that the meeting stressed the importance of preparing a budget bill that considers all possibilities and guarantees a realistic, transparent budget that depends on oil and non-oil revenues, the financial deficit and actual expenditures.

The meeting also discussed the latest developments in the federal budget bill for 2021, which will probably be voted upon next week.

The President of the Regional Government affirmed the Kurdistan Region's firm position to reach a radical solution to the Baghdad-Erbil outstanding problems, hoping that the Iraqi parties would welcome the initiative of the Federal Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kadhimi, to conclude a final and comprehensive solution to these problems.

Yesterday, the Iraqi Council of Representatives' Speaker, Muhammad al-Halbousi, directed to include the federal budget bill on the Parliament's agenda for the next session.

Shafaq News Agency correspondent reported that Al-Halbousi had directed the inclusion of the budget bill on the agenda for next Monday's session, upon a request submitted by MP Yousef Al-Kalabi and signed by 150 Representatives.

There were rumours that the ICG were supporting ISIS against the Kurds. Thats why they "abandoned" all the new US equipment they had just been given.

Was maliki hoping ISIS would crush the Kurds like they did the Yazidi's ? could be why he allowed ISIS into Mosul imo. 4000 strong Iraq army in Mosul v's 400 ISIS and the army "ran".

Nothing came of it because he bought them all off.

BUT the ICG will achieve nothing without the support of the voting power of the Kurds IF they can all unite behind the KRG which has always been an issue in the past.

As I have stated , time is running out for both of them. They both need a deal this time and we have the IMF ( controlled by the USA with its preconditions and the same USA brokering the deal behind the scenes.

All to play for.

NoR

As long as the likes of former PM, Nouri al Maliki, are around there are going to be major difficulties for the KRG and the Kurds in general.
As head of the Dawa Party and the State of Law coalition he has a big say and has been known for many years for his repression of the Kurds along with his flunkies such as " I have today written a letter " Shahristani.
It is going to take a lot of outside pressure for the Kurds to get a fair deal according to the Constitution.
..

Do you remember al Maliki's son making a deposit to a bank in Lebanon ......
....... it was somewhere between $1 and $2 Billion in cash and the son got arrested but nothing further seemed to come of it.
All part of al Maliki's corruption.

If the Parliament vote through the budget which they need to do to get IMF approval for loans then it will mean Iraq is back in the World as one united country rather than a bunch of vying tribes .

@diggers. Waiting not for an agreement but for the budget and O&G LAW to be passed. If that happens then a different scenario opens up.
