01/11/2020 15:28 | And there we go 😂 More waffle and nothing tangible. As I predicted just name calling to hide your failings. | mcfly02
01/11/2020 15:12 | Another thing Broadfraud , so here we are in the desert with a hole in the main oil export pipeline from Kurdistan , costing $100000's an HOUR (at least) in lost production and you are rabbiting on about PROCEDURES ! Get real , no one gives a s*it about procedures or anything else, other than those we need to get the job done. Thats the way it is. The oil will be bulldozed aside and buried. You would know all that if you were genuine . Which of course you are not As for you Sarah , I hope your telephone manners selling Landrover parts for Uncle Tony were better than your manners on here. Explain this to me. " Give us something new and something you've not plagiarised from somewhere else " How do you plagiarise a Project plan based on experience? Because thats what I posted , a very brief one obviously because I dont have all day to argue with trolls and idiots like you three. | highlander7

01/11/2020 14:51 | "Give us something new and something you've not plagiarised from somewhere else, update us on what's CURRENTLY happening at Gulf." As it's your idea Sarah convention dictates that you should go first. So off you go. And don't forget to substantiate it. | habshan
01/11/2020 14:44 | But Dave 🤡 More bluster from PetroWiki and your opinion that you've back up with any qualifications ??? Give us something new and something you've not plagiarised from somewhere else, update us on what's CURRENTLY happening at Gulf. No more deflecting posts, back up your mouth. You can't because you don't know and that's why you call people names in an attempt to hide your failings. | mcfly02
01/11/2020 14:13 | "The procedure described by the mock highlander shows how little real knowledge he has of in-field O&G procedures – especially urgent...." "no mention of making the contaminated working area safe" Dear oh Dear Broadfraud. Its a typical Project Worklist summary for these kind of repairs. Not a Procedure . The type I used to Project Manage. No need to mention Safety - because we take it extremely seriously in any case and its a given as any Industry Professional knows.. But then you dont have any experience of my industry - remember ? BB POST 579321 of 579339 I have never, ever claimed to be an "Expert" - not on ESP, not on turbines, not on geo-physical or -petroleum areas. Never. | highlander7

01/11/2020 13:42 | "The procedure described by the mock highlander shows how little real knowledge he has of in-field O&G procedures – especially urgent...." "no mention of making the contaminated working area safe" It's hard to know where to start Broadford, you just haven't got a clue have you. Talk about armchair general. THIS IS THE MIDDLE EAST Broadford not leafy Surrey. The Turkish government and the pipeline operator BOTUS are losing money hand over fist, safety will be taken care of as a matter of course but they won't give a toss about procedures, ISO 9001 and going by the book. Next to safety they have only ONE priority, and that's getting that pipeline back in service as fast as is humanly possible, and they'll be straining every sinew day and night to that end. We can all be grateful that you aren't in charge Broadford or that line would be down for six months. You've never worked in this part of the world have you. | habshan
01/11/2020 13:07 | Michael Rubin wrote an interesting piece a couple of days ago for AEI entitled: "Iraqi Kurdistan will fail as its dictatorship tightens Iraqi Kurdistan is not nearly as democratic or stable as it would like the world to think." Well worth a read. hxxps://www.aei.org/ IMO the recent pipeline explosion has more to do with current tensions between KDP and PUK than ISIS/DAESH as some have postulated. | broadford bay
01/11/2020 12:58 | From your "trusted friends" Broadford. Bigdog - "There's a massive difference between the theoretical and practice." Mcfly - "Reading something on PetroWiki and then passing it off as your own doesn't count !" | habshan
01/11/2020 12:48 | Did someone really just write: “Highlander just put up a factual post based on first hand knowledge and experience in the Oil industry which is both informative and of great use to the readers of this board.” LOLALL! Without knowing full details of where the explosion took place, a 3- to 5-day estimate could be quite close. If, however, it took place in or very close to a pumping- or valve station then that number goes out the window. The procedure described by the mock highlander shows how little real knowledge he has of in-field O&G procedures – especially urgent- and potentially dangerous ones such as replacing a section of crude oil pipeline that has been damaged by explosion and fire. Not a word about draining the upstream- and downstream sections (or letting combustion do most of that for you), no mention of digging out the trench, no mention making the contaminated working area safe (risk of further fire, explosion, H2S, etc), no mention of purging the remaining “good” sections” of residual crude, debris and products of combustion, no mention of subsequent pressure tests, no understanding of the BOTAS automatic shut-off procedures (upstream- /downstream pumps and isolating valves) applicable to most of the pipeline sections, no mention of the nearest BOTAS pipeyard which holds stock of pipes, valves, instrumentation, etc. Just some stuff about using Isolating Pigs (he doesn’t mention cleaning pigs) and welding sections – he don’t even know where the next Pig Station is. First-hand knowledge - LOLALL! | broadford bay
01/11/2020 12:39 | GoatCam reports get verified by news releases weeks or years ahead. Now David stop trying to deflect and provide something new. Everyone wants you to prove you are the big industry professional you make out to be. | mcfly02

01/11/2020 12:15 | "Reading something on PetroWiki and then passing it off as your own doesn't count !" What does "goatcam" count as Sarah. Do you really think that unsubstantiated statements from you "count". Do you really think that factual proveable statements from industry professionals, Wikipedia, PetroWiki, Jon Ferrier, Stuart Catterall and the like don't count. But that unsubstantiated unverified statements from a dangerous fantasist do. | habshan |
