All this talk of T/O is all well and good, but if its a done deal can anybody explain why we are at £2.12 with very low volume? Does not really make sense.

Don't know about the sale date and don't care.

Just happy someone else gets the significance of including those 'treasury shares' in the dividend calculation. They're reclassified and allocated as fully paid up bonus shares while still remaining in treasury.

There'll be no corrective RNS because what GKP have done is wholly consistent with Bermudan Company Law.

Fully paid up bonus shares automatically attract a dividend under Bermudan Company Law.

And those shares must have vested for them to be fully paid up, and vesting can only occur under option plan rules on a 'change of control'.

Agree Urals :Co obvs sold or no stock needed in Treasury.Key date Oct 31 - 1st tranche buyin 5.225m had to be legally completedDec 2 FD leaves no later. Board have thrown PI crumbs info. Effect a scheme sale by Dec 2 then absolute latest for announcement Nov 5, hence Nov 1-5 RNS in my view.

Trump was not talking about Syrian Oilfields at all. He was talking about Kurdistan & the original wars by the two Bush administrations to liberate Iraq. He was talking about USA $trillions invested & how it should be repaid.

Indeed, GKP has been sold on October 4th because all the outstanding shares received a dividend. This is only possible if the shares held in treasury have been awarded to their beneficiaries on that date.
According to the resolution of the AGM, the shares held in treasury for the employees can only be partially vested at the end of 2019, unless the cy is sold.

Now it will be sold with the Scheme of Agreement between the buyer (CNPC) and a majority of shareholders who agree to sell.
October 4th plus Paul’s 28 days gives November 1st when Scheme document will be posted to target shareholders and made available to Target and bidders employees.

I guess that the fact the management has been awarded their shares must be covered by the secrecy of the Scheme of Arrangement. This would explain why nobody talks about it.

So all this would be perfectly legal!

It was a horrific speech by a US leader.
A horrific interpretation of what goes on in Middle East.

And he and the rest of the world (apart from this BB) knows he is talking about the oil fields on Syria that were grabbed by ISIS. He is talking about stealing these oil fields to pay for US 'costs'. In the same way he has tweeted that US should take oil from Iraq after invasion.

It is a horrific idea where US can decide to invade any other country and then get them to pay for the experience with their natural resources.
