I have the wrong handle as I desire a really fast jet boat more than a castle.... I have ordered the tow hook for my van next week and am booking in my power boat and VHF courses to be legal... We are in a quiet time just now with little communication... from my experience those are the time to buy. I expect a 2nd round buy back announcement in the next month or two and a trading update.... either way we will be up into 1.60 easily so this is easy gravy at the moment. GLA

The thing is that politicians always let you down... from experience. I admire the Labour aim to get housebuilding going but that will take 2-3 years to turn into tangible results... I put £0.25m into Persimmon and took the profit to buy back here whilst it is quiet. Quiet times are the best times to invest imho, GLA

During his visit to Baghdad, Barzani met with Shia leader Nouri al-Maliki five times within the span of two days. Some reports suggest the two are quietly working on building an alliance, as each aims to maintain dominance within their respective Kurdish and Shia regions. This potential alliance marks a significant shift in their relationship, given their tumultuous history.

In 2014, Barzani was one of the leading figures opposing Nouri al-Maliki, accusing him of authoritarianism. At that time, Barzani even threatened a referendum for Kurdish independence from Iraq, which eventually took place in 2017. This historical context makes their current rapprochement particularly noteworthy.

Previously, Barzani had formed an alliance with Muqtada al-Sadr but did not meet him at all during this trip to Baghdad. However, it's important to note that Sadr usually resides in Najaf, a city further south of Baghdad.
