"We have had a good reaction and well-received from both sides of Congress, Democrats and Republicans. This week I've met with nine different offices. And all of these offices say that they are supportive" of resuming oil exports, said Caggins. The US State Department has also urged Baghdad and Ankara to resume the exports as oil revenue is critical for the KRG.

I applaud your caution and like you will await the news from APIKUR, as over the years I have learned to speak IRAQI and question the interpretation of such words as "agreed" and phrases such as "as soon as possible"

There is obvious growing hope and optimism but these need to translate into contracts, costs, backpay etc etc i.e. all off which would be important to anyone eying the company.

APICKUR will say it for me--- at some point I hope and when GKP are happy I will be too and like others richer too I hope.

Turkey and the Kurdistan Region are ready to export oil. Baghdad must hold meetings with oil companies," he said. Iraqi Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein said on Friday that the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) and the oil pipelines in Turkey are ready to export oil from the Kurdistan Region. Fuad Hussein said that they have spoken with the Kurdistan Regional Government and have been told that the Kurdistan Region is ready to export oil. Hussein hoped the two governments would meet in Baghdad next month to draw up a plan to resolve the issue based on the reports prepared. "There are some problems. The problems are not between the federal government and the Kurdistan Regional Government; they have reached an agreement, but to implement that agreement, Baghdad must negotiate with the oil companies operating in Iraqi Kurdistan," he said. . . . .

Productive talks with @POTUS Advisor Amos Hochstein today on ways to accelerate the resumption of oil exports from the Kurdistan Region. The lack of exports has hurt everyone - costing billions in lost revenues. It makes no sense. We will double down efforts.

Irrespective of wether or not the reports of the pipeline opening are accurate or not, a big thing is that Barzani got invited to the Whitehouse FIRST, that's a real diplomatic snub for Sudani as Iraq's leader to be visiting after a regional leader, and a clear message of him being out of favour.

Those talking about backpayments, there can be an installment program with an initial payment. That is fine. A lump sum of $151M is not absolutely necessary and probably not realistic, time will tell though...get the oil flowing, that's the main game changer.

There will be no restart without IOC getting a lump of cash, or 100% surety arrangement for that money p.As that can't happen first without Baghdad and Erbil agreement, this looks a real breakthrough.
