03/7/2022 16:39 | You'll need to do better than that Broadford. The object of the exercise, which clearly went straight over your head and which everybody else understood, was to demonstrate that there are HUNDREDS of oilfield services companies in the world not just Schlumberger Halliburton and Baker Hughes and ALL of them will be looking for work. It's simple enough, try to keep up ffs. | habshan
03/7/2022 16:29 | He Habby, your list is straight cut-and-paste from Wikipedia...I would have thought better of you! Get on the phone pronto and suggest Oceaneering International - they sound like an ideal partner, considering all that SH water. Pathetic. Concentrate on the Wraith and the Sunseeker and the apartment overlooking The Gulf. Sweet... | broadford bay
03/7/2022 16:17 | Pretty much it.... I went all the way from first spud to the £6 and left at £3.Learning was that finding oil is great news but sell on the hype as a load of time and money about to pass to commercialise the find. | jackpotjack

03/7/2022 13:45 | A good précis of what occurred. And we are being played similarly right now. In my view. Good money to be made by trading it but I can't be assed to attempt it along with the accompanying anxiety. Made my mind up a long time ago to sit it out, and now I've got lovely divis to enjoy along the way. Happy days. And happy to accept divis for several more years if necessary. | shortsqueezer
03/7/2022 13:25 | Rockhopper struck oil in the falklands. The share price went from ( can’t remember exactly) about 40 pence to between £3 and £4. Then the money markets wanted in so they dropped the price and it fell to something like 70 pence. ( taking out many peoples stop losses ). I still remember the disbelief of posters on the III and Lse board. The price then gradually rose back and went to about £6 ish. Gla | beernut
03/7/2022 12:55 | The list grows ever longer of those companies that have either gone bust or have departed Koruptistan, the land that was once named, the "last great frontier". From minnows to majors they've all decided that its not in their interests to remain there due to all the continuing problems and disagreements between Erbil and Baghdad. Now its the Oil service companies that have departed taking with them all the experience and required "know how" that Koruptistan just cannot do without. Any signs of the decades in the coming Oil law, FDP, 55k a day, second amendment to the PSC, multiple ESP's, solving the gas flaring issue, getting another PF and Water handling facilities and solving the sulphur problem? Asset value £1.50ps, add in a small premium plus the divis and there's the reality. Happy to help you fantasists as always:-) | bigdog5

02/7/2022 08:15 | Biden wont want to upset the Kurds. The USA have a number of military bases in Kurdistan. But Biden isnt the issue , Iran is the real problem , they have always been against any sort of Kurdish autonomy. H7 | highlander7

02/7/2022 01:35 | Oil Should Stay In Triple Digits: Analyst By Julianne Geiger - Jul 01, 2022, 2:30 PM CDT Crude oil prices should stay in the triple digits, Kpler’s head of Sweet Crude Analysis Matt Smith told Yahoo Finance. There won’t be a continued downward pressure on oil, according to Smith. “I don’t think that we’re going to see continued downward pressure on oil. I think what we’re seeing in the last couple of weeks in the oil market is this selloff as oil has got swept up in broader market sentiment as we’ve seen a selloff in equities, etc. It’s a risk appetite thing,” Smith told Yahoo Finance. | beernut
02/7/2022 01:33 | Supply Disruptions Drive Bullish Sentiment In Oil Markets By Tom Kool - Jul 01, 2022, 2:00 PM CDT Bullish sentiment is once again building in oil markets as supply disruptions mount and global oil demand growth continues unabated. Oil Rig Oil Crude Refiner Oil Gasoline Gas Friday, July 1st, 2022 As uncertainty builds around the supply capacity of OPEC+ and oil demand rages on despite expectations of demand destruction, bullish sentiment is building in oil markets. Now, to add to that bullish sentiment, another form of supply disruption is springing up around the world: strikes. Operations at France’s Fos Refinery were halted by strikes and Norway’s offshore production was heavily impacted by them as well. It seems the oil market is under siege from all sides, from fundamental tightness to underinvestment, disruptions related to the war in Ukraine, and now strikes. | beernut
