I agree JB .It would be announced, and a notice of SGM I think only needs 2 weeks notice (3 at most).The SGM would have resolution to approve the deal.it gets voted through by 50% plus of those voting , then formal stamp from Bermuda company house . it's all done in less than 4 weeks. GKP delisted .

P2 there is a subtle difference between merger and amalgamation in Bermuda law Both could be used to close the transactionand either way it makes no difference to usThe new NED was installed onto the board of IGI as it was going to amalgamate.She was appointed after the transaction was announced but not completed..She will provide local compliance oversight.Rgds if it's a consortium, the BIDCO established in Bermuda could have various parties taking stakes.It would be a surprise if a field WI of this size was solely owned and operated.

He's not saying that, GC. He's saying the acquiring company (could be jointly owned by a number of IOC's) will merge into GKP and that will be then retired and the old GKP will be owned by the acquirers.
