They could and should have announced a buyback already , they haven't.They also could and should have used a proxy to buyback for the past 2 years + without telling mkt.They gave themselves authority long since.I expect announcement of that proxy buyback, and then either:Agreed deal doneORAnnounced "we are up for sale" ( that's how Cove started their in public auction

FDP approval and payment news first, to get the price up then divi and buy back. That way existing holders will benefit the most whilst newcomers will have to chase the price up.

I'll go for the usual divi and a special on top and a buyback. Sounds a lot but they'll made a tonne of cash with the buoyant oil price. Folk will chase the price right upto results, difficult to lose here unless global factors dictate.

So what do we reckon in 2022? Another $100m dividend ? Buyback first ? Or even $150m dividend after a buyback? All we need to do is keep getting paid... even without any production increase GKP will be making crazy amounts of cash in 2022
